My mood while writing this blog: Scared |
Hi Ladies, We are thinking of putting Emma in her own room during the holidays, as DH will be home for a week then. She sleeps in her own crib, but her crib is in a corner in our room. She will be 1 wk short of 6 months. We are dreading this, as we will not be able to see her all the time, but we have to put her in her room eventually. Some of my friends are saying that I shud wait until she is 1yr old, but I have to go back to work when she will be 11months 1wk, so I was thinking of starting now. Any suggestions on how we can make this transition easier for US and her? pls give ur suggestions. thanks....Savvy

Wednesday, 9 Dec I don't want to put Joshua in his own room either, he is only 3 months now and is getting too big for his moses basket so we will have to put him in his own room in his cot soon. I'm absolutely dreading it. While he's in our room I wake up so many times in the night, listen to him breathing and then go back to sleep. When he's in his own room I will only have the monitor to listen to so I know I'll end up going in and out his room all the time. I also love waking up in the morning and him being right next to me. I think 6 months is an ideal time to make the transition but like you I will be dreading it. good luck and let me know how it goes xx Pocahontas -

Monday, 7 Dec Poet has been in her own room for about a month and a half now. We both sleep better. Ever since I put her in her own room she has slept through the night. I just did it. There really was no transition. The only time I have her in our room is if she wakes early in the morning to feed and we snuggle and fall back to sleep. Otherwise, I have no other advice. Good luck!!
