| 06-7-2009 - New Midwife! | My mood while writing this blog:Content |
Went to meet my new midwife today! I liked her very much, she is younger and likes to laugh - which is good.. as that's a lot of what I do. :)
She discussed with me about preaclampsia... er however you spell it,
and told me that she would like for me to take the group B test.
Well that's interesting, not looking forward to it - but she gave me a pamphlet on it to read about it, she says it's not mandatory but I think I'd like to do it anyway, as it can be dangerous if I do have it. Don't really want to pass it onto my wee one.
So I've started having my appointments every 2 weeks now. Today was the first one, my next one is 2 weeks from today (Monday).
So I've been experiencing a lot of pain lately. My pelvic bones have been extremely sore, and today as I was sitting at the dinner table talking with my mother - i let out a small little giggle and got the sharpest pain in my side.
My mom doesn't seem to be very worried about me, but good grief this is crazy.
I talked to my midwife today about the pains in my pelvic bones - she says this is normal! And what I can do to relieve myself is by an elastic band that goes across the tummy to hold it up, to let off some weight on my bones.
Dunno if I can afford it, as they're kind of expensive so mom says to just try a scarf! Hopefully it works, cause I'm dying. :(
I heard the babies heartbeat today, my midwife says it was good! (156) and my tummy is measuring at approx. where it's suppose to be right about now.
She felt my stomach, and found my little ones bum, hehe. So now I know where to pat her bum.
Oh meant to mention, my husband and I drove out to my parents trailer on Sunday, and we decided to go swimming. Well that was interesting! Hahah, it's like my baby freezes and just stays COMPLETELY still! As she doesn't move... AT ALL! It's funny.
She is a real squirmy baby, until I get into water.
Anyway.. I think that's it for tonight.
Night all! :)
