04-8-2009 - 35 Week Midwife Appt.

Alright.. so July 31st I went for my 35 week check-up at my midwives. Apparently I've not decided that I needed to have a U.T.I. Which is lovely... well when I was there, I was having NO symptons what-so-ever .. so we thought nothing of it, and she never gave me a prescription or anything. Well Saturday when I woke up it burned to go to the washroom.. and which of course, because it's a weekend there is no doctors working. So I phoned my midwife and she advised that Sunday I go to a walk-in clinic. Well anyone that lives near me, knows perfectly well that any walk-in clinic takes like 5 hours, just to tell them what you're there for. So off to emerg. we went only to sit there for 4 hours!!!! REDICULOUS! Finally when we got in, the doctor said I definately had a U.T.I. and it needed to be treated for the babies sake. So he prescribed me Amoxicilin and sent me on my way.
Well to top everything off, my mother has had broncular pnuemonia for about 2 and 1/2 weeks now, and I start to get a sore throat! I'm thinking... "great" as I've had it before so I'm immune to it and can possibly catch it! Which would be all I need - seeing as I'm due in 4 weeks and could go into labour ANYTIME! .. well now it's a full blown cold! Not broncular pnuemonia yet anyway! (Let's hope it stays that way!) .. I can't breathe out of my nose, my eyes keep watering... I've got a severe sore throat from coughing so much, and whenever I blow my nose my ears pop.. I get dizzy and almost fall over!!! SWEET HUH!? Oh and let's not forget the sneezing! It's like I constantly sneeze, which let me tell you is lovely when you're almost 9 months pregnant!
Also while at my midwives on friday, we discovered that I'm Anemic... so I've also got put on an Iron Supplement.. which may I add, is TERRIBLE! Takes awful.. as my midwife suggested the liquid kind.

I cannot wait until this is all over with! I want my baby to be healthy and in my arms leaving the hospital! lol... I just cannot wait. I've officially had enough with being pregnant and sick and anemic and I could go on!!! Haha.

So my baby shower is this weekend, my Grandma, mom and sister are putting it on.. hopefully all goes well with it, and I shall post afterwards!
