15-7-2008 - Thomas at 11 weeks old

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well... I just wanted to let everyone know that things have finally come around with Thomas. Since he was 5 days old he has had NO more seizures. We had a follow-up appointment with his neurologist who said that he most likely had his seizures because he was genetically pre-disposed to having seizures (his daddy had them as an infant) and because of the small brain bleeds his recieved from delivery, those irritated his brain enough to cause him to seize. They are currently weaning him off his phenobarbital (anti-seizure meds) and the dr. says that he probably most likely won't ever have a seizure again (thank goodness).

We have finally settled into a routine and thanks to Thomas sleeping at night we are back on track. I have enjoyed these first 11 weeks and look forward to many more 11weeks to come.
