11-2-2010 - Isla 5months on!

My mood while writing this blog: Happy if a bit tired!

Well it has been a long time since I last blogged & thought it was about time for an update! Isla is now 5months old & is doing really well, she weighs 14pounds 8ounces & is a happy, bubbly baby - she used to sleep most of the nite only waking up once for a bottle but we both recently caught a tumy bug & since then she is up twice a nite & I find it hard to get back to sleep after & often lay awake for hours on end & by the time I manage to get back to sleep she is up again - Oh well I guess it will pass soon enough! I introduced her to solids a couple of weeks ago & she loves it, her favourite is pureed carrotts & courgettes & then pureed pear for pudding. I am taking her on 2 holidays this year, we are off to Spain in June with some friends for a week & then off to New York in November with the family which will be so much fun!

As for myself I am doing ok, I recovered well after the birth & am trying to keep myself well by eating healthily & drinking lots of water & am returning to work in April - Isla will go to nursery 3 days a week for 3hours & my Mum will have her the rest of the time - She will be going to the nursery that my sister works in so I have no worries there!
