04-6-2009 - Update @ 25weeks Needing to get busy but happy enoughMy mood while writing this blog:
Needing to get busy but happy enough

25 weeks & feeling quite good but have an overwhelming sense of wanting to get things in order ie, having clear out & sorting nursery -

Next week will be my last week @ work as my office is moving to Oxford which is a 2train & 1bus journey & now I am getting a bit bigger it will be quite tiring doing that twice a day so have managed to get a months money out of them & then start maternity in July which is a month earlier than I planned but if the weather here continues the way it has been I'll be glad of it - I am so hot & finding it incredibly difficult to sleep! So am hoping to start painting mine & my girls bedroom the week after next & then get the cot & all my furniture moved in but really don't know what colour I want, I hate pink so I won't be painting it pink but was thinking of green - How many people have started/finished their nurseries? Is green not girly enough?? Was thinking of apple green?

Main gripes of mine this week:

* My back - still bloody hurting, no matter what I do I can't ease the pain or stiffness

* Heartburn - don't know how much longer I can put up with it - I drink about 4 pints of milk daily

* Massive boobs - they are so big that they are obscene now & my nipples are the size of saucers

* Thrush - I have itched myself so much I think I have actually cut myself (sorry but it was driving me to distraction) & am not allowed to take the tablets so have had to put up with the cream which is not the most relieving

Apart from that my bump is progressing nicely & still have no stretchmarks (touch wood) & the baby is a little wriggler, after 10pm she moves about like a little nutter, especially after I have had my nightly cadburys fingers & cup of tea - naughty!

I have finished my nursery and just can't wait to see my baby in there. I love apple green, that would look lovely.

I too am suffering with constant back pain, I sit at a desk at work for 8 hours every day and it's really doing my back in, I'm much better stood up.

I am also suffering with heartburn but it comes and goes and hasn't been TOO bad yet.

I haven't got any stretch marks yet either and my baby always wakes up around 10pm! How funnny! xx

Get some Rennie Fruit for the heartburn, they work and taste yum, I live on them! You're allowed a pessary for the thrush as well which is better than the normal cream! As for your back, I have been using one of those wheat bags that you heat up in the microwave but it's a bit of a nightmare when it's already so bloody hot! I have a huge fan blowing on me all night in bed and all the windows open!!

I'm doing our nursery green, yellow and blue and was worried it was going to look a bit girly, I think green is a pretty neutral colour though so you'll def get away with it.

Oh and don't even talk to me about the nipples!! I only noticed the size of mine yesterday, I think they're taking over my body!!
Glad all is well though apart from that!

think your boobs are big now, just wait. i think i might need to move to England. you get to go on maternity leave before you have your baby? that is great. anyway, it sounds like your nesting phase has kicked in. i can't think straight if there is a scrap of paper on the floor. i'm telling my kids to clean their rooms every five minutes now. :)
