19-6-2009 - Update @ 27weeks

My mood while writing this blog: Indifferent

27 weeks? Wow, feels really good to have made it this far & have really started to notice my bump expanding like crazy - up till now I think I have just looked a bit chubby but there is no mistaking I'm pregnant now!

Well this week is Ascot week (for those that live everywhere other than the UK, Ascot is a horse racing meeting that is held every year in June & basically means getting dressed up in fancy dresses & hats & gambling whilst getting extremely drunk) I usually go to Ascot with lots of friends but this year I decided to give it a miss as I get tired quite easy at the moment & it can be a long day & also u can't go to Ascot & not get plastered on Champagne - it would be rude not to! My sisters are both going tomorrow & have all their dresses & hats sorted & I am feelin very jealous.

I bought a baby rocker yesterday & got it for a bargain, I have been eyeing it up for a couple of weeks & I was in having a look at it yesterday when the girl behind the counter came over & told me that the display one was the last one & as it didn't have the packaging box with it I could have it for half price - It was originally £70 which I thought was a bit steep for a rocker & ended up getting it for £30 (what a bargain) so that put me in a good mood for the rest of the day!

What did not put me in a good mood was the arrival of my pram - been waiting for it for about a month & then today it arrived - much to my excitement until I opened up the box, they have sent me the wrong colour - I'm not a fussy person really but it is a travel system & my carseat is the right colour which is a kind of marina blue & the bloody pram is black so doesn't match at all - At the moment I am having serious rage issues so my Mum insisted on calling the company (because to be honest I would have launched an attack against them -I'm such a moody bitch @ present) & they are going to send it out & will be here next week - happy days!

Pregnancy gripes this week:

* Heartburn - Yes people the raging burning in my chest is still here no matter what I eat/drink

* Sleeping - is a complete nightmare & I honestly don't think I will ever have a good nights sleep again

* Anger - I get so worked up so easily of late - really need to check myself

Well thats it really, only thing left is that I got a letter from the hospital & they want me to go in on 1st July to have the heart monitor fitted, should only take about half hour but still seems a little scary non the less!
