01-8-2009 - Baby shower:)

My mood while writing this blog: Extremely happy

Hiya all,

I know it's late but just had to blog on my baby shower today, was absolutely fantastic & enjoyed every minute of it! I got up quite early this morning to help my Mum & sister prepare a bit of food, my best mate Danielle held it at her house but as there was quite a few people coming I said that we would bring some food aswell & finally got there & we had enough food to feed the five thousand.

I got lots of lovely pressies aswell, didn't particularly want everyone buying me stuff as I just wanted a little bit of a party but got some lovely little dresses & bits of clothes, rattles & cuddly toys, baby bangle from my Mum, a nappy cake (which was just amazing & handmade by Danielle), shoes & someone (i'm naming no names lol) bought me a pink velour tracksuit for her (why oh why would someone do that???? Pink velour goes against everything I believe in) a baby bath, changing mat, a voucher to go & get a facial, nappies, nappy cream, wipes, photo albums & loads of stuff - she's a very spoilt little girl! It was so nice to have my 4 best girls & my sisters & my Mum, Aunties & family friends around aswell, we just hung out, ate loads of food & a lot of alcohol was had by all apart from me (boo!!!) I had a glass of champagne & it was lovely.

I am so tired now though & am lying in bed but I know I am going to drift off to sleep quite easily tonight & on that note I am going to go but I just wanted to say how much I loved everyone that was there this afternoon & that they made me feel very special 2day & realise how lucky I am to know them & have them in my life!xxx
