01-9-2009 - Week 38

My mood while writing this blog: Extremely relieved

I have entered week 38 today & have had a bit of nightmare day - I had my 38week check up with my doctor this morning & she seemed concerned as when she felt my stomach she said she thought the baby was lying transverse (I now know this means the baby was lying sideways & if baby doesn't turn then u normally have to have a c-section which I really don't want) so I was a bit upset - she sent me to the hospital to have a scan to make sure! I had prepared myself for the worst so when I got in the room & the sonographer said that the baby was head down (in fact very low down) I was so relieved, she said that the doctor could have mistaken the babys shoulder for her head??? Anyways long story short, baby is head down & happy - Also looked @ babys feet & they look huge!!!!

Am beginning to get a bit tired of being pregnant now & am wishing time along but I have pains in the top of my legs & every now & then one of my legs completely gives way & it makes me look like a right weirdo when I am walking down the street - Also heartburn is back big time & I am on a daily dose of milk & rennie but it is sort of my own fault as I have been eating all the wrong things & have been bbqing bank holiday weekend so it's been burgers, sausages & lots if cheese! I also had 3 curries in a week trying to make her come a little bit earlier (naughty I know) but nothing seems to work so I guess she's just comfy in there!

It's strange to think that she can come anytime now & I keep looking out for little signs but I guess she'll come when I least expect it!
