10-9-2009 - Week 39 & still pregnant

My mood while writing this blog: Getting a bit bored now!

Hey everyone,

Well am still here & still very much pregnant - really thought something was happening labour-wise @ the beginning of the week but the contractions became irregular then stopped - I do feel like the baby has moved further down & she has stopped moving so much now which I have been told is fairly common! I have also tried everything to get this baby out:

* Raspberry tea (since read that this is a complete myth but I'm going to keep doing it)

* Bouncing on my space hopper (what a sight that is)

* Curries (eaten 3 in 5 days)

* Warm baths (think this is what brought the contractions on the other day)

* Sex (it's getting rather hard with a massive bump in the way)

I know I still have 5 days to go before my due date but am so tired of being pregnant now - 39weeks is such a long time & I will just cry if I go overdue. For the last 3 nights I have been woken up with bad pains in my stomach that feel like period pain, they wake me up about 2am & then I don't get back to sleep till 4 or 5ish, is this labour showing it's face???

To top it all off, everyone seems to be having their babies now, even people that were due after me - so unfair - my family & friends have a little sweepstake going on about what date she will come, I have said today but most people think it will be the weekend - I just hope she comes on her own & that I don't have to be induced!
