06-3-2009 - Slight ER scare

My mood while writing this blog: relieved

I have been spotting off and on the past few weeks, but last night, I had some decent bleeding. It wasn't gushing, but it was enough to make me worry. We went to the ER to get checked out, and they did blood work, etc. The nurse said my HCG was 39,000. I thought that was really low for 10weeks. I got very disappointed and feared the worst. At the Ultrasound, the tech wouldnt let me see anything. And of course, they wouldnt believe me that they wont see anything with a TV u/s, but eventually she switched to abdominal and said "Yep, that goes nowhere but straight up!". She looked around a bit and said there's the little bugger. I was convinced she was just being nice. But eventually she said "The heartbeat is 167" I let out a huge sigh of relief, that's all I needed to know. Then she said, he keeps bouncing around out of my view. I told her Id have loved to see that and she said she would try and record a video clip to show me after. She said it was measuring right at 10 weeks. I got to see some screenshots atfer we were done, but as soon as she started recording, the baby stopped moving. She says, "Oh, that flip must have worn him out, it's asleep now"

So Im to just take it easy and try to stay off my feet. I feel much better now and I think I can a few more people Im pregnant now :)

wow... just relax.. Feet up.. and don't forget God answers prayer if you do pray! I will keep you in my prayers... I am so happy that the baby was present and that he measured 10 weeks.. Please let us know of progress and whether everything is better now... God Bless you and your lil bean...

I'm so happy that everything is ok. Just try to rest as much as you can and no lifting! When I was pregnant I made hubby carry all the groceries and I refused to even carry the laudry baskets when they were full, lol. Just relax and rest and your baby will be fine!
