My mood while writing this blog: content |
I can't believe its been almost 3 weeks since I wrote anything. I felt like I needed to heh. So, eveything is great! I wanted a boring by the book pregnancy, and even though there have been a few bumps, everything is pretty much that way. My belly is getting big, and I'm getting pinched nerves, aches and pains in my hips and legs, but it's manageable for now.
I still havent really been advertising the fact that Im pregnant at work. I just know that they either suspect, or think "Man, she's gained a lot of weight!" I work with everyone in the company(maybe 500ish employees?), and I've been there for over 8 years, and a lot of the higher ups who I work directly with know what happened the first time. The ones that do know Im pregnant again tread lightly around me and don't really say anything about me being pregnant. So it's weird. I get the opposite treatment for your average pregnant lady. That's fine, I don't really like a bunch of attention anyway. There is one girl in my dept who always makes "baby jokes", and it annoys me. Like if someone offers me something(we always seem to be eating lol), and I decline, she will say "Doesnt the baby want a cookie?" or something like that. It grates on my nerves for some reason.
It's so cute that Brendan is getting more excited now. He's been thinking of names, and saying how now that his Sister in Law moved out (she was living with us for a while in the room we'll have for baby) we need to get the room ready ASAP. I told him we have plenty of time, and I wan't quite ready to start buying anything yet. I said at best, we can have the carpet put in.
Time seems to be going pretty fast right now, even though this is a scary time for me. I had my 17w u/s and everything looked great. My next one is at 20w. Unfortunately it dosnt help my nerves much because in my first pregnancy the baby stopped growing at 17weeks and we didnt find out till 20weeks. I think once I pass the 20week mark I can relax and time will fly. I try not to worry too much about the same thing happening again this pregnancy. It's been different this time (no major bleeds, no tenderness) so that keeps my hopes up.
I hope everyone is doing well! :)
