23-7-2009 - 30w (pre-eclampsia?)

My mood while writing this blog: tired, but very happy

Today is the big 3-0!! lol It seems like 30weeks is the ultimate milestone to me. After that, it's only a few weeks away until our babies are here!

I dont know if it's the bedrest or the PE, but man if I am not lying down or sitting with my feet up, I get woozy and kind of lose focus a bit. The Dr doesnt seem to be too concerned because my BPs have been fine in the office. I think Im just too used to kicking back these days and the change in my BP when Im standing up causes it.

So it was ultrasound day of course, and they also did a growth check, which they will do every 3 weeks in addition to the BPP. And his estimated weight this week is...*drumroll*... 3lb 10oz!! OMG! lol This week he is breech, last week he was head down, and the Dr said it's fine, he can still flip around. We got an 8/8 score on the BPP, which is perfect.

I'm feeling great, just sore and tired, but otherwise Im in a great mood..no mood swings or anything like that.

that's great news!! What a healthy weight he's at, that will definitely serve him well if he comes a little early. Enjoy your bedrest girl!

Things are going great! I'm so glad. Did they say that your baby was *too big*? I think he sounds just right! At my 27 1/2 week appt, my girl was 2lbs, 12oz. I will find out soon how she is doing. My baby shower is tomorrow; crazy girl! Take care... Pam

yeah glad things are going good for the most part!!!! I get woozy too when i stand up and iam not even on bedrest! LOL

he's gonna be a big boy when he comes out that's for sure! one of my friend's had preeclampsia and had her boy at 32 weeks and he weighed 5pounds! he was huge compared to the other bubs in NCU. i'm guessing whenever your little man arrives he is definately going to exceed his weight concerns. how exciting, not long now!!!

btw...Madame Zaritska was wrong......at least on gender...and if they estimate him at even close to 15 lbs, he will be a C-section so there will be no 15 hours of labor..if he is estimated at 10 lbs or more, I would say they would call it and send you to the OR.......which is fine, because having a C at N-Sub is a breeze......maybe you can pick a slot on Friday with me.....The surgeon on call ROCKS!!

That is great!!...Dr. D said Liam is measuring on the big side too, but didn't give me a weight....I wish sometimes I got as many u/s as you do, just so I could get more info..:) Glad to finally meet Brendan. Hang in there and maybe we will be on the floor together... think 39 weeks REALLY hard! Yea 30 weeks!!

That is great news!! Michael was born at 30 weeks, and he weighed 3 lbs 12 oz. You are doing great! 2 more weeks should be your next goal, I think. 32 and 34 weeks are important milestones but you made a great one!!
