My mood while writing this blog: so happy! |
Hello ladies!
I hope everyone had a great holiday! Sebastian is now almost 15 weeks old! I read some of my past blogs about when he was born and was in the NICU, and it made me tear up. I am so thankful to have such great ladies and a great community to share my feelings. I'm not one that tends to open up about what I'm feeling to my husband or family.
Sebastian is getting to be a big boy! He still wakes up around 3 or 4 for a night feeding, little piggy :)
He saw a pediatric cardiologist on Dec 15(my bday!) because while he was at the NICU they found a tiny hole in his heart, which many babies are born with and some adults still have and arent even aware of. But because they saw it, they wanted us to just check up on it and make sure it's closing. The cardiologist checked him over on the ultrasound and said the hole was nothing to worry about, and should close on its own. The only thing he saw that he wants to see us again in a year about is he saw that his pulmonary vein branch thingamabobber has a slightly narrowed vein on one branch. He said this should grow, but he just wants to see him again in a year so he can say it looks fine and we can get mad at him for wasting our time (his words!).
He said he will have no problems and will be running marathons in no time. I wasn't really worried about the hole anyway, and Im sure the narrowed vein will grow! Oh, and they weighed him at 14lbs 14oz!! Big boy!!
He is starting to be REALLY vocal now! Especially in the morning when he wakes up, I pick him up and change his diaper and we just talk and laugh!! He's so silly!
