My mood while writing this blog: fulfilled |
Sebastian had his 4 month appointment yesterday, even though he's actually going on 5 months now. He's a big boy, weighing in at 17lbs 14oz and 26inches! Apparently this is the 90th percentile. The Dr said his weight is good for his height, he's just tall for his age. He barely fits in his swing now lol His head sits just below the support bar. So we will have to say bye to that soon :(
He started stage 1 baby food yesterday! His first food was sweet potatoes, and he ate off a spoon like a pro! When I'd bring the spoon to him, he would open his mouth as big as he could! lol It was so cute!
Unfortunately, he has cradle cap. The Dr recommended trying Selsum Blue to help get rid of it. He's losing some hair on top because of it, but the hair that is coming back almost looks blonde!
He still hates tummy time, and he is not wanting to roll over. He can get on his side though. The Dr said he will go at his own pace, but to keep trying tummy time but dont force it. The only way I can get him to be on his belly at all is to put him on the couch on our chaise in front of the tv. He will do about 3 minutes max...which is better than 15 seconds not on the chaise.
He absolutely loves to sit in his high chair and play with his barn toy. It sings and lights up, and does different things when he pushes the buttons. He will yell at it and smack it, and get a furled eyebrow look when he tries to figure it out. I have to get a video of him playing with it lol
He's sleeping through the night mostly now. He goes to bed around 8:30, and sleeps till 5-6 when he wakes up hungry. Then back to sleep till about 8-9. It's a dream! I just wish he would take naps!! He is so happy in the morning, but he will only take 30 minute naps through the day, and as the day goes on, he gets crankier and crankier! He's getting hard to put down for a nap because he gets so angry that he's tired. But there is nothing like going to get him when he wakes up in the morning for the day and he's sitting there playing with his mirror, and he looks at me and smiles when I say Good Morning!
I'm using the Nuva Ring as bc right now. I got some samples from my Dr, and i love it, BUT I didnt know it was going to be $60 with my insurance! UGH! Ive never been good at taking pills, but I guess I have to go back to that. Brendan said to take the pill, and if I miss one and I get pregnant, oh well lol I'd like to WAIT for a while though and enjoy the baby I have!! I dont want to do depo again, I did that a long time ago and hated it. I dont want to do mirena either as I have heard bad things. The arm implant seems like a good idea, but I dont know how that type of bc will affect me. Ugh, I liked when I didnt have to worry about bc, and I never had a regular period, but now I have to deal with it every month like a normal person! hehe
Well just thought I would check in. I stop in every now and then and look at everyone's updates. Im so excited for the moms to be, and Im always thinking about the TTC ladies. I love you all! Im almost wishing I was pregnant again just to have more of a reason to be here!! lol!

Thursday, 4 Feb Oh your so lucky, him sleeping through the night. Trust me I understand about the no napping during the day thing though. To be honest I don't think Logan ever sleeps long. Strange huh? Any how sounds wonderful sweety. I can't believe how much he's grown. You're doing a fabulous job! orone -
Wednesday, 3 Feb glad to hear he's doing so well...he sounds very similar to how my son was at that age...and about the same size. By the time Brenden was 5 months he weighed 20 pounds...then he has only gained 8 since then and he's 25 months now. He didn't sleep well until about 5 1/2 months and was a terrible napper...but strangely once he started sleeping at night, he also started taking nice daytime naps...so it's definitely still possible. Now he still goes down every afternoon for a minimum of an hour and a half and sometimes up to 3+ hours...and still goes to bed at 8 pm. Claire is still working on her sleeping, at 6 weeks she was sleeping 8 hours, but January has been hell...she is super gassy from her reflux meds but is unhappy without the meds too. I thought we were back to 6 hour stretches of sleep until last night where she was up ALL night long with painful gas. I'm sure this too shall pass, but I'm one tired mommy in the meantime! Wednesday, 3 Feb I tried vaseline for the cradle cap, and rubbed it in good and let it sit for a day. Then washed it out and it got rid of a lot of it, but it just keeps coming back. We just have to stay on top of it. kbfulloffaith -

Tuesday, 2 Feb Trust me take the pill lol!!! As much as I loved being pregnant with Jacob expecting another one is a bit of a pill to swallow in itself. Especially with Rich deployed now!
