My mood while writing this blog: relieved |
Well AF finally arrived, about a week late! If I'm not on BC, then my cycles are way out of whack. Sometimes I don't have a period for a few months. Luckily I don't have to take medicine to jumpstart my period to go back on BC. So this means of course I' not pregnant from my BC fiasco. But what to do now..do I go back on the Nuva ring and pay 60 a month for it? I normally really like it because I dont have to worry about it every day, but its so expensive. I'm not a daily pill person, and I know that I might screw up the daily pill. I'm not ready for an IUD because I think we will try for another one in a year or so. I didn't like Depo when I used it a long time ago. Anyone have any testimonials on BC other than the pill? Would love something that helps with weight loss too hehe

Monday, 8 Mar There's actually a really big medical malpractice law suit on against the makers of the patch right now and most OB's will not even prescribe it because of the adverse side effects. The daily bc pills are a drag but it could be just as simple as setting an alarm on your phone to get you back into taking it daily. Unfortunately they haven't come out with the BC and weight loss gum yet. When they do I will be the first in line. I will save you a spot though. mungbean -
Friday, 5 Mar condoms? i react badly to the pill and can't use them, so we chose to go natural and used the 'billings method' after our first child. we actually attended classes and learnt what to do. i loved it as i learnt so much about my own body. we used it for 4 months. i think it's a great method when you are planning more children because it keeps you drug free so you can start trying again as soon as you like. some bc takes awhile to get out of your system and delays you when trying to concieve. you both have to be disciplined though. Thursday, 4 Mar My doc will not even prescribe the patch! She says that it releases too strong doses of estrogen and there have been so many incidences of stroke and heart attack because of that. Wouldn't recomend it! kjslover -
Thursday, 4 Mar Unfortunately, other than the vaginal rings, patch, IUD, or shot there is not really anything else other than the pill. If you ask me, the best form of birth control is having your parents live with you! LOL Supaflychick1982 -
Thursday, 4 Mar I was gonna say the patch and I liked it as well but you took care of that response. How about the shot? It's not daily but I did hear about weight gain with some women. Are you able to do a mail-order prescription for long terms drugs. I have that with my job and I'll pay about $50-60 or 3 months supply. Shellie77 -
