21-1-2009 - Appointment yesterday

My mood while writing this blog:
Ok

So my regular doc is my cup of tea, To start off she's a woman.. :) She has kids of her own and shes young! I like her very much, I have had no complaints of her..

Yesterday She was very backed up so the nurses told me that another doctor offered to see me, I thought about it and I really didn't wanna go to the other doc that I had seen maybe once or twice during my whole pregnancy.

1* He's a MAN!! lol

2* The visit's I had with this other doc in the past I
didn't much like his personality.

3* I wanted my normal doc to check my cervix to c if I
was dialted at all.

Ok so with that out of the way, I asked how long my doc would be, and the nurses told me a while, so I said what the heck I wanna get home, (by this time it was 4:30pm) so I went into the office and the Man comes in and starts with my weekly ultrasound to check baby out.. Fine Fine.. Just a few minutes later he askes *R u scheduled for inducement* sp?
I answer no, My regular doc says she would like to induce me after 41 weeks if baby hasn't come.. *Ok he says. Well with these meds ur on* blah blah* (medical term I didn't know) So I ask whats that? In So many words~~ He says pretty much that ur baby could DIE before being born.... I said WHAT?????? My doc has never said this to me.. He says back, *The chances are very slim, But the farther we let u go it COULD happen* OMG!!!!! AssHOLE!!! I knew I didn't like this guy to start off with!!

So he then says. Well I think we should schedule u to get induced if u don't deliver on ur own by ur due date.. Oh gosh I say like when, He says oh by uh Tuesday or Wednesday..

At this point I ask well how would I get induced? Are there different ways and he explains this one way to me.. I won't go into that right now. But now all i'm thinking is SEX SEX SEX and spicy foods and maybe one of those preggo pizza's.. to bring on natural labor, I DO NOT want to get induced!!!!
He scheduled me to get induced on Wed the 28th!!!!!!! OH lord and baby Jesus!!! Please come before that ASH!!!

That was my afternoon/early evening yesterday! The start to the day wasn't any better... Let me tell ya.. UGh!!

i agree to let your regular doctor check you out. Start taking evening primrose oil though. It's a prostiglandin (same as the hormone in sperm). You insert it next to your cervix and it will help to soften your cervix = dilation. Take 1000mg each night and wear a pad. It will leak out in the morning. Just don't let them use the drug cytotec on you (common for induction in the USA). Its 'very dangerous. Cervidil and pitocin are safer.

Aww you poor thing! I was induced with both my babies, and really it's not that bad. See if they will start you with "cervadil". It was way better than going right to pitocin. It sends you into labour, does not cause you to have unnatural contractions. I had it with baby #2, they inserted it, I went home and 12 hours later I went into labour. I was 39W 1d. I would do the induction now because I know I would be too freaked out about what that ass had to say, and would not be calmed. I would constantly worry. But... don't worry about the labour. It will all be over and all worth it!

oh girl im so sorry to hear that.. some drs just have no bedside manners at all.. i hope that your little one comes on her own too.. being induced is so hard and the contractions are on going and seem to never give in or give you a break... labor dust !!!!! by a million lol.. i hope that it all goes well for you..

I am soo sorry for ur terrible doc. that why i never have a man do a womans job!! well first off i have been induced 2 times they went smoothly but, my 1st was cuz i was 42 weeks and no sign of coming out. my 2nd was cuz water was low at 36 weeks and she was going to be big. so if a valad reason i agree with inducing but ur doc dont seem to think there is or would of meantioned it. second of all how dare he scare you like that saying baby may DIE!! what an exreme ass****! if i was you i would at least call ur normal doc and talk to her about what new doc said and is planning see what she says and go from there.Kinda like getting a second opinion if a doc says u have cancer or something like that.good luck keep us posted!
