| 16-6-2008 - ultrasound | My mood while writing this blog:happy and sad |
well i had the ultrasound this morning, sadly my husband didnt get to see it, but he can see the baby on the films when i pick them up tomoro.
I am realy happy to say that this baby is in the right place, has a strong heart beat, and measures up well and exactly to dates! (9 weeks one day)
sadley though she (im guessing its a girl, i have a strong feeling it is) was an identical twin, her sister died at 7 weeks, so im kinda realy sad that i lost one of them, and i hope that it doesnt impact on the pregnancy, i realy dont want to loose this one too, ive lost too many in the past (3 misscariges, 2 were twin pregnancies)
My son Luka was also an identical twin (so its apparently extreamly rare that 4 out of 5 pregnancies were not just twins but identical twins) i lost his twin at 6 weeks 2 days, i thought i was loosing him, i didnt even know i had twins, they did an ultrasound and confirmed i lost one, but Luka was born healthy and big, so im hoping this one will be alright too.
To make things even stranger I was an identical twin too! my sister died at 20 weeks ( twin to twin transfusion syndrome) i was born 8 weeks later wieghing in at an amazing 4 pounds! i should have weighed much less for how early i was, mum thinks its because i suddenly got double the nutrients and she had gestational diabeties with us.
I just hope that baby rose (thats what we ate calling her if she is a girl) stays where sh is and grows strong and healthy
