29-1-2009 - decklans kidney

My mood while writing this blog: worried

Ok so Decklan is here! my full term preemie! he is soo tiny, 3 weeks and 2 days old and still in premmie clothes!

So glad the pregnancy is over and Decklans on the outside, I was realy hoping to be done with the drs but Deck has Hydronephrosis in his left kidney, this is making his right kidney go into over drive and putting alot of strain on them both. Going for another renal ultrasound tomoro i hope its improved, i still dont understand exactly what it is, but is basicaly water on the kidney...

He also has "clicky" hips so ive gotta be so careful with him, but he is getting stronger.

Im doing well, bi polar is now under control again! yay my hubby and i have not been this close in a long time (i forgot how good sex is!)

so just gotta get Decklans health under control, right now its constant monitoring and NICU out patient checks, and weighing nappies and wrighting down exact measurements of what goes in and what goes out!

I just pray his little kidneys can recover and be good again, I am trying very hard not to think about what could happen if they dont start working right
