27-6-2008 - Erin is 3 1/2 months

My mood while writing this blog:

Oh my goodness my baby is now 3 months 2 weeks. I am overwhelmed. Its went by so fast. We have had some rough times with Erin being very sick with RSV and in ICU, but she is 100%healthy now. Shes gaining weight and looking like a cute little princess. Not so much the newborn look anymore. I am truly in love with my girl. Shes not quite as fussy as she used to be. shes beginning to try to sit up from a laying down position. she has not rolled over but she tries to. i am still nursing exclusively. its been tough at times when i feel like I am just connected to her 24/7. i need a break sometimes and thats difficult to not get. life has been different being a mom of a new one when i am a mom to teens too.

I have missed the other moms i was pregnant with. everyone has just gotten so dang busy! miss you all!

schools out for the summer and i am going insane. the kids are just bored and i am going bonkers! i can not afford to run them around town with the cost of gas these days. the summer weather has not began so really know one wants to go outside and play. why do schools let kids out for 3 months? i think year round schools are so much smarter. they get several short breaks a year rather than 3 months.

NO WAY!! 3 MONTHS already???!!!! Amazing!! :) I'm so glad that you are doing so well (besides the whole summer vacation thing...maybe you could put them to work on a remodeling project? :) You are SO right - gas is insane! I have to budget every tiny trip! Combine as many as possible...)

The nursing thing can be tiring, but it is over so fast. Remember with your first babies?? All 3 of my boys weaned themselves right at 6 months! It was strange. They just would overnight seem to lose interest and want to get down to "real" food! I have purchased two baby food cookbooks -- my goal being to prepare my own. They are really cool! I normally (as in not pregnant state) like to cook and do it all the time; these should be easy to utilize along with my own cooking methods.

I look forward to nursing a baby again. I am getting closer... and anxious to see his face. I just pray all is well with the little guy - but I will adore him no matter what, of course!
