31-7-2008 - Next Week!!

My mood while writing this blog: heightened anticipation & amazed!

Well ladies, this little guy is still breech, though he has gone from "complete" to "frank". (Tom suggested his middle name be Frank, I ix-nayed that right away! ) So we are officially down to SIX DAYS and little Ty Whatever will be in my arms! I'm a little stunned and I'm a little nervous about the whole surgery deal... but one good thing? Dr. M said, "You will be in recovery in about an hour. The birth itself will only take about 15 minutes." My GOODNESS! That is a WHOLE new concept for me! With 3 "naturals" in my experience, you go in and work, work, work! This is like zipping around the board to "Go" and collecting $200 for nothin'! But I do realize, as my sister says who has had one CS, "you get the baby on credit: if you don't pay before, you pay later!" (Thank you Robin!) But there again, Dr. M assures me he will keep me "pain-free" for 24 hours and after that we will manage it with something from his arsenal! Now, I'm not usually a drug taking woman, but I think I am all for it considering the circumstances!!

So, I have my lists going -- all those last minute things to do and buy... Friday I get hair and nails done with said Sister.
