| 28-8-2009 - just on a rant.... | My mood while writing this blog:Good |
So I have been seeing my family doctor, of course every four weeks since we found out we were preggers. She is great, an amazing family doctor and I truly wish she still had rights at the hospital to deliver our baby but her family practice keeps her beyond busy these days... so I should have no complaints, right?! Anyways, she has such a huge family practice and is always so busy - she forgot to send my req. in to transfer me to the group of woman doctors that deliver at our hospital!!! I will be 7 months next week and I still have no idea who might deliver our baby and I know it's for sure not the group of ladies who I originally asked for becasue they only take on a certain number of patients who are delivering each month - my reqs had to be there months ago to get in with them. I have 3 gf's that are preggers too, we are all due within weeks of eachother and they have been seeing this group of doc's for months and keep saying how great they are, so I am a little disapointed that I am not where they are.
So I FINALLY get the call yesterday, from my doctors office that I have my first official appointment with an OBGYN now.... totally excited until she tells me when it is.... October 28!!!! Ummm, hello, I am due like a month later and with my Grandma & Mothers history of delivering all their babies pretty early (I was 7 weeks early when I was born) who knows how many times I will meet her before I deliver - I will be 36 weeks at the time of my first appt. What if I don't like her? This is my first pregnancy, so I have no idea what to expect. Oh well, I will keep seeing my family doctor until then and everything seems to be going pretty well with my pregnancy so far so I shouldn't be worrying too much right? And I guess it doesn't really matter, you are never really sure who will be on-call when you go into labour anyways...
That's my rant for the day.... lol... Hope all you ladies are feeling great and doing well!!
