03-9-2009 - 27 Week Appointment

My mood while writing this blog: emotional today!

I had my 27 week appointment this afternoon and other than being totally emotional today, everything went well! My diabetes test came back fantastic, I am not low in iron (so far so good) and I have gained a total of 17 pds so far (alright I guess). I am measuring right on track and baby is head down at the moment. Don't know why I am so emotional today though. Balled my eyes out at all three 'Baby Stories' today... lol ...Just one of those days I guess. I am not sleeping well at all and when I actually do fall asleep for some reason I am most comfortable on my back... but I know it's not the best postion to be in for baby b/c of blood flow... somehow I gotta wedge some pillows under the left side of my back so everythings good. I also had to take out my belly button ring today. Kinda sad about it for some stupid reason. I guess cuz I have had it for so long and it's just another change to my body I have to get used to.

My hubby and I decided at the beginning of this (being our first) pregnancy that we aren't going to find out what we are having. But I almost can't stand it now!!! lol.. I have to keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end....I know it will. I am dying to decorate or at least do something with the nursery now that we have got rid of the guest bed but we have to wait for all of our furniture to come from my brother-in-law. They wanted to give us their set as a gift to us. Which is soooo nice BUT I seriously think we won't have it until after the baby is here!!! That was my gut feeling when they first offered it... I don't know why (having two kids of their own) they don't understand how excited we are to put everything together since I am sure they think 'it's no big deal, the baby will be in your room for the first few months anyway' .....auggghhhh we should have said no and bought our own.

Anyway, I am sorry this is such a long blog today!! I am sure everything will work out and I shouldn't be so emotional about it. I am so happy everything is going so well with this pregnancy so far. We are very blessed.
