23-10-2009 - H1N1 Vaccine... totally confusedMy mood while writing this blog:
totally confused

I know this is a total personal choice and probably a touchy subject for some, but your thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!

OMG, just when I think I have made up my mind!!!.... I am having a really tough time all of a sudden on whether or not to get the H1N1 vaccine....I don't get the regular flu shot every year.. and there seems to be so much negativity and not enough testing on this vaccine.. Ahhhhh! I don't know what to do... Then we hear about two types of the vaccine - Adjuvanted and Non Adjuvanted (which pregnant women should get if possible as there is no safety data for the use of the adjuvanted vaccine in pregnant woman)? Why are we only getting this bit of added information about it right before it's supposed to roll out. The Non-Adjuvanted isn't even ready!!! What are your thoughts???

So confused. :o(

to be honest I haven't even taken none of the flu shots yet.....i consulted with my doctor and she said that you really don't have to take it unless necessary...the truth for me is that I am afraid it will end up harming the baby...so many things they put into these shots.... I would rather just get the regular flu shot......its just to complicated and to confusing I agree....but at the end its just our opinions....its still your choice......god bless and I hope all goes well stina..

My family just got through h1n1. H1N1 is honestly not much different than a regular flu! The symptoms and whatnot are all the same. The way I see it is that if you don't normally get the regular flu shot no point in getting the H1N1 either. The hype with this whole thing seems nuts to me but thats just my personal opinion. Just like if you think about airplanes in the news you only hear about the bad stuff. But that's just my opinion :0)

If I was pregnant I would probably get it. You gals are the highest risk. I do get my flu shot every year as I am a health care worker and its pretty much required. I am not sure I want to get the H1N1 vaccine, but am considering it. You are right... its so confusing.
