04-6-2008 - First Ultrasound

My mood while writing this blog: HUNGRY!!!! LOL!

My boyfriend Jason, and I went for the first ultrasound last week. WOW!
That's the only word I can think of to describe the feeling! It was kind of weird because everything is REAL now. I mean actually seeing the baby for the first time was incredible. It's really there! I'm REALLY having a baby! How crazy!!!! LOL!
My doctor got a really good shot of the baby. I've seen other people's u/s pics and I couldn't tell what the crap was going on. I just saw little blips and spots. I've never been able to make anything out on those things. But mine was pretty clear. The head, body and two little arms are clearly visible. Oh yeah, we even saw it move a little bit. It was soooooo cute!!!! And the little heart beating was just freakin' precious! We couldn't hear it yet though. I'm supposed to go back 6/25. I don't think she's doing an u/s though. Just a check up I guess.
She is doing another u/s at 20 wks and at that time, she'll tell us if it's a boy or a girl. I cannot WAIT for that one. I am just dying to know what it is. That won't be until the end of July though. That seems like forever now, but I know it will be here before I know it. I can't wait to start feeling it move. That is going to be so cool!
So I guess it's safe to say that the shock and denial have worn off by now. I'm still scared to death, but I'm mostly just excited now. :)
