I have been wearing high heals since I am working in my new position, which is about the same amount of time I knew I was pregnant. I don't wear them everyday, plus I am use to wearing them out after working hours before I was pregnant. Well I have all these old lady's telling me I need new shoes. I am going to hurt my back, I am pulling on my groin. All kinds of things. I don't wear supper high ones and the ones I usually do wear are the wedged ones not the stick heal I guess you would call it. What I am asking is...Is it really that bad to be wearing them or are they just old and want to pass on there advice. I mean really come on. If I did everything that you are supose to do while pregnant like cut out soda, candy, sugar, not lift things, don't reach high, don't sleep on your back or your stomach, and all those other things I might as well lock my self in my room and only lay on my...what is it right or left side cause it is the safest. LOL. I haven't asked my dr about the heals yet but as far as everything else like being active, lifting things in moderation, working out, ect. he says is fine as long as your body is use to it.

I wore them with my first pregnancy up till 36 weeks, but then I started to swell up and it was no longer an option.
I wear them now, too with this twin pregnancy.
I say as long as you are comfortable, go ahead. Your body will let you know when you should stop.

The only reason they advise pregnant women to not wear heels is because we tend to lose our balance alot as we get bigger and heavier. It's a matter of safety for you and the baby. I stopped wearing them when I was about 5 months pregnant but then it was summer, super, super hot and my feet were too swollen for my regular shoes anyway! Just be careful!! xox
