Had my first midwife appointment today! Wow....it is so different to visit a birthing center instead of a hospital but I must admit I'm very impressed with it! It was a long visit of course (1st visits are always the longest) but we did get to hear the little one's heartbeat which was great! I didn't even hear my son's heartbeat at 11 weeks when I was pregnant with him and I was 40 pounds lighter then than I am now lol! The midwife told me that my uterus is tilted back.....that was a shock because when I was pregnant with my son, the doctor never told me that. I'm not gonna worry about that because my son was just fine and I didn't have any problems with my pregnancy or labor and delivery with him so I'm not gonna worry about this one. I lost 3 pounds so far in this pregnancy.....not worried a bit because I'm overweight but I'm not trying to do it either, I'm just not into eating much of anything. She told me also that I need to eat more protein.....which is being a problem for me to want to swallow it lol! I'll have my next appointment in 3 weeks so she can hear the baby's heartbeat more clear! I'm just getting more and more excited about this pregnancy and can't wait to meet my little one!
