15-7-2009 - 18w 1d OB appt / Quad Screen (AFP4)

My mood while writing this blog: Hot & Tired ...

Weight at appt.: 120.6 ....................... BP: 119/65

* on 7/19/2009, I reset my EDD back to Dec. 17, and this means that this b/w was performed at 17w/6d *

Belly measured good "Baby Growing" as Doc said. He listened for baby's HB & said it was good, too! Though he didn't tell me the BPM, and I didn't ask since I have my own doppler at home.

I went ahead and did the Quad Screen, even though I know that my ripe old age alone will probably give me a negative ... today was the last day I could do the test so I did, even though I wasn't sure if I really wanted to torture myself after the NT results. Who knows, maybe I'll get LUCKY and these results will be good, even though my age is a huge factor against me... PRAY for a MIRACLE ladies!! :)

*Oh, and RIGHT before my appt., my toddler snuck out to follow the big kids into the woods, and I about had a freakin' HEART ATTACK when I came out of the bathroom to discover him gone!! My dog happened to help - he was standing over by the tree line where my son went in - I heard my son scream out for me - which SCARED me even more!! I hauled ass over to him - he was standing behind a big rock and my greatest fear was "Oh God, plz tell me there isn't a stupid animal trap there that has my son!! He wasn't screaming out in terror or anything, but still... I got to him & he had a tiny pricker stuck in his leg, but I ended up scratching myself pretty good against some RUSTY old barbed wired, so I'll need to go for a tetanus shot tomorrow. Fabulous, huh? Oh well, I'm just glad my LO was fine!! Thank You God!! *
