15-8-2009 - Got another BIG U/S!!!

My mood while writing this blog: THRILLED!!!

I'm always telling my kids to NOT answer any calls for me - just let them go through to voicemail - cuz my kids are HORRIBLE at relaying the message & with all the important calls from doctors & the law, I NEED to be sure to get my messages! Well, it turns out, my daughter took a call for me, she tried relaying it but did a horrible job ... at NO POINT did she mention an U/S - If she had, I probably would have FREAKED out, thinking that they'd found something BAD on the u/s I just had, or something. Well, I go to my appt., thinking it was just another OB, pee in the cup, listen to the HB. Then, they directed me to the U/S room - I was puzzled and worried, so that's when they explained that they'd called, asking if I'd be willing to have another U/S for "accredidation??" or something (I think the u/s techs have to test out every so often, and this was for their testing?) any way, they wanted to use me cuz by little Princess showed up on u/s so much better than any of their other patients! Wow!! I've had so many kids that I'm see-through, now! LOL!! Anyway, it was GREAT getting to see her again!! And, she was every bit as hyper as the last time, so yet again, when the lady tried to get a nice 3-D of her face for me, she wouldn't sit still long enough! I'm thinking it may have something to do with me having eaten a big bowl of frosten mini-wheats about an hour before me appt. Ooops! The pics I got weren't as great as the last set, but there are a couple of pretty cool ones - like the 3-D of her little feet, so I'll post them later on.

The funny thing was, before my appt. I was telling friends that I had an appt. that day, and how I wished they did u/s at each appt. - How ironic that I actually got another one, huh?! The u/s tech was apologizing for how long it was taking, and I told her "Oh please, no need to apologize! Have you EVER met a pregnant lady who DIDN'T want an u/s?? Take all the time in the world!!"

Oh, and she did check & confirm "Girl!", though I was hoping she'd zoom in and show me what she was looking at, but the baby was doing too many somersaults, so I think the tech just gave up and moved on..."

My best friend just had a little girl in May, and she already had a bag of clothes for me!! So, I was excited to go down & get them, as well as to see her baby - it's only been 3 years since I've had a baby, but it feels like a life-time! I had Trysten (3-year old) with me and it was funny to see him react when the baby cried - I asked him later if it scared him and he laughed and said "yeah!" I then asked if he wanted to have a little baby like that, and he said "Yep!" I think he'll be a good big brother! :o) He even promised to help Mommy change poopy diapers, even though he GAGS when he has a stinky poop - this kid cracks me up, some times!! LOL!!
