| 24-4-2012 - 24 Hour EKG | My mood while writing this blog:Good |
I had my 34 week OB appointment yesterday. Blood pressure is good, baby is still measuring a week ahead (35 cm), all in all we're doing pretty good. I've been experiencing a loss of appetite recently along with slight nausea and indigestion. It's not overwhelming but it's something new, that's for sure.
For those of you who have read some of my other blogs about my "all over the place" heart rate, well, I experienced something rather strange last week. I had a heart rate of about 90 and then it went up to around 120, then back down to 90 and then went up to around 140-150 bpm all within about 9 minutes. I've been having a high heart rate this whole pregnancy with a rapid increase from time to time. The first time I told my doctor she requested that I get blood work to see if its my thyroid out of whack, but the results came back fine. Again, last week after this episode, she requested that I get some more bloodwork done, and again, the results came back fine. So she has requested that I be put on a holter monitor for 24 hours. It's basically an EKG machine that I'll have to wear and it will record my heartrate for a 24 hour period. If I experience any wierd heart activity, this sucker will detect it and maybe we can get down to the bottom of this.
So I have to leave work early today and go pick this thing up and then come back to work for the rest of the day. Then tomorrow I have to leave work to return it, and then go back to work for the remainder of the day. This kinda sucks cause I have to travel 30 minutes from work (1hr round trip) just to pick the thing up. Oh well.
Hope everyone is feeling good!
