27-2-2009 - how did you discover?

So ladies,

I am just a little curious to find out how you discovered that you were pregnant???? My husband and I tried in November. So, in Nov my hubby bought an ovulation test kit and a box of pregnancy test kits. Just in case it might take us a while to get pregnant. So, I had been using my ovulation sticks. One day in December, I had just woken up and opened up a ovulation kit. I noticed that it looked different from the other ones. But, I was still waking up and so I used it anyway. That month there was no idication on the ovulation sticks that I ovulated. HUMMMM>>>>>> So, I figured that I must have just mis calculated the window. Oh we'll there is always next month.... However, a few weeks later.....

I was 3 days past my missed period date. So, I took a pregnancy test on Saturday, January 3rd. I didn't think much of it. I just thought that I didn't ovulate that month. I was at home, and had just woken up. I walked into the bathroom, closed the door and peed on the little stick. I was replacing the cap, when I looked at it and saw the plus sign. I think that I actually called out, HOLY SHIT!!!! I was stunned. I mean, I didn't even think that I ovulated!!!! So, I sat on the toilet and looked at the ovulation and pregnancy test kit box's. I am reading the box's; I discovered that the ovulation kit came with 1 pregnancy test. So,..... I put 2 and 2 together. I realized that one morning that I peed on the pregnancy test instead of the ovulation test! DUHHH... No wonder the test looked different from the others.

So, I left the pregnancy test in the bathroom and closed the door behind me. My hubby, was getting ready as we were about to leave the house to go deer hunting. I went to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee. I was still in shock! It didn't even occur to me that I was brewing a whole pot of caffeine, that I couldn't wait to drink. I went back to the bedroom, where my husband was making the bed in the dark. I handed him the kit. He brought it into the light to read it. When he did, he squealed with delight. He was sooooo happy. I was too, but I was still in complete shock!!!!!

We left the house and headed out to the ranch. I was so overcome with emotions! I was shocked and happy and about 10 other emotions too. I went to my deer blind; and I was shaking. I wanted to call my mom, but realized that it was 6:45 in the morning. About 30 minutes later, and still shaking; I took aim at a nice 6 point buck. I fired my gun and the deer fell. We took a picture of me and deer. So, I will always have that picture on the day that I found out that we discovered that I was pregnant. My hubby said that it was one of the happiest days of his life.
