12-3-2009 - boy or girl????

We'll, I had my doctor's appointment yesterday.It went well. I asked for a sonogram, and the doctor actually said yes. (Because of my fender bender). But, that I would have to come back tomorrow because they were booked yesterday. The doctor listened to the heart beat. He said it was about 150. -----Moving on to Thursday. I arrived at the doctor's office10 min early. I was feeling incredibly miserable.Because I had a full bladder that I couldn't wait to unload it!!!!! So, 10 min after my appt time, we were still in the waiting room. I couldn't even concentrate, I just wanted to pee so badly! The nurse called me to the window to let me know that they were running about an hour behind! I was like, oh no... then Like... thank God... I can pee! So over an hour later, they started my sonogram. The sono tech was a really cool lady. She looked at everything. Heartbeat was a solid 148, with no skips in the heartbeat. Brain was developing evenly, spine looked great, as did the ribs, stomach and other organs. She counted 10 fingers and 10 toes. PERFECT. The baby was holding and playing the umbilical cord.

Now down to the interesting part. She wanted to know, if she was able to tell, if we wanted to know the sex. We said yes! She took a look and she thinks that it is a boy! However, she is not 100 percent sure. She wrote on the sonogram picture boy?????? So, I really had my hopes up for a girl but I am just happy that the baby is healthy. I go for my amnio at 15 weeks. Which is next Friday. They will do a sonogram picture then too, So, we might be able to tell for sure then. I just wanted to share the news. We are incredibly happy that the baby is right on target and is developing perfectly. Have a great day! and let me know what you think. I will post the sonogram pictures soon.

I didn't know they could tell the sex this early! I'm so happy that everything is looking good for your baby. I have to wait until May 7th to find out what mine is. The heart rate was 154, 162, 153 my last 3 appointments. I heard a rumor that a higher heart rate means it's a boy.
