| 07-4-2009 - Update | My mood while writing this blog:happy |
We'll all is well with me. I had my 4 month appointment yesterday (Monday). It was a standard appointment. We listened to the heartbeat on a doppler. My doctor said it was a good strong heart beat! yeah...... I am doing well. But, I am feeling a little plumper! I gained less than 2 lbs from month 3 to month 4. So, I have gained about 10 lbs so far. But, I can surely feel those 10 lbs now. Some days I am showing more than others. I still don't look pregnant but some days I look like I have a little pot belly. My size 4 jeans are tight. I have been wearing a belly band, with the top button unbottoned. I also bought a larger size of jeans too. Just to be a little more comfortable. I am too small for maternity pants right now. Although, I think that my butt and thighs are bigger. My boobs are noticebly larger. Even a male co worker said to me, "your boobs are getting big". lol..... Of course men would notice that!!!
I felt the baby move for the first time at about 14 1/2 weeks. It was super early. It was a really cool feeling. There was no denying that it was the baby swimming around in there. Since then I have felt the baby move, but not every day.
I had my amnio at 15 weeks on March 20th. We got the results back on March 30th, and all was normal. No downs or spina biffida. yeah...... What a relief! The amnio also confirmed the earlier sonograms that it is indeed a BOY. Since finding out we started buying boy things. We bought a crib set and mobile and a car seat.
My hubby and step children have been so supportive of me and the pregnancy. They all switched to decaffinated sodas since I cut out caffeine. They are also so sweet, they won't let me carry anything. Not even the groceries in from the car! My hubby gives me back rubs all the time and is so sweet and caring. He always helped out with laundry, dishes, cleaning etc, but he is doing even more to let me rest. I feel really blessed.
We have really only had one disagreement since my pregnancy. You guessed it.... It was over baby names. UHRRRRR>>>>>>>> I think this can be a sore subject for many couples. I like the name Jack but he says that it reminds him of a student that he had in one of his classes that he hated. My hubby is a teacher. He doesn't like the name Jack which I love. So, we talked about Jackson and he likes that. So, I may just name hism Jackson and then slowly work into calling him Jack. I haven't decided on a middle name yet. Any suggestions ladies???
My neighbor showed me how to crochet. Since learning about a month ago, I have completed 2 baby blankets. I am working on my third and am almost done. Funny thing, is that I didn't think that I would have the patience for it. But, I work on them while I am watching TV. I will have to post some pictures of them for you. As well as a belly picture. I like looking at the belly pictures. I like to compare myself the the other preggie ladies out there.
We'll I hope that you are all doing well. I know that many of you have sonograms scheduled for Wednesday. Best of luck to you, and I hope that you get a clear picture of the sex. So, let us know what your having! Congrats again ladies. Until next time.......
