| 08-6-2009 - Dr\'s Appt | My mood while writing this blog:happy |
Hello all,
Today is the first day of my vacation. YEAH..... It was quite a productive day. I slept a little later than normal. Got up and headed to my doctor's appt. Waited in the office for about 30 min. The doctor got a call to deliver a baby. Anyway, it wasn't too bad. His staff took our vitals when he was out to save time. So, we listened to his heartbeat. It was normal. I gained 2 lbs in about 3 weeks. Not too bad. Tomorrow morning I go for my 1 hour sugar glucose test. I am hoping and praying that I pass. I have been avoiding sweets for the past week in anticipation of this test. The boys made smores tonight. I had sugar free jello... No comparrison there. bummer.......
Then I went to my pregnancy massage. It was very relaxing. I would recomend it to everyone. I went to a massage school. So, the prices were about half the cost than at a regular spa. It was 30.00 for an hour long massage!!! Then around 1:30, I dropped my car off at Just Brakes to get them repaired. They were rubbing and brakes are pretty damn important. My hubby picked me up so that I didn't have to wait for hours while it was getting repaired. So, we ran errands together. We toured a day care today. We also went grocery shopping then headed home. Went back to the break shop at 6:30 and my car was still not ready. They were just finshing up, and took it for a test drive. However, he said the pedal was still acting up, they did some adjustments and it still wasn't right. After more testing, he said that I needed a new master cylinder. Okay, so that's 200 dollars more. NOT good. Plus, at this point it was 7:00 pm and they would need to locate the part. Needless to say, my hubby drove me back home and I hope to pick up my vehicle some time tomorrow. We came home and I made shiskabobs to throw on the grill. I also grilled some veggies and made some rice. Then we all watched the batchelorette.
So, tomorrow looks like a full day too. Glucose test, then to the gym to work out. Then having my hair cut and highlighted. Lunch with a friend. Then to the bank to talk about getting interim financing for building the new house. Meeting with my cousin to drop off the house plans for him to give us a bid on building the house. AND hopefully pick up my vehicle.
I'm trying to make the most of my time off and get errands done. We leave on Thursday for a trip to the coast (Corpus) for a few days. Fun in the sun and fishing. Oh, and we are taking in a baseball game on Friday. We'll thats all for now. Have a great week ladies.
