| 24-9-2009 - 2 week check up | My mood while writing this blog:relaxed |
So today, Grant had his 2 week check up. At birth he weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long. At discharge from the hospital he was 7 lbs 13 oz. Then at his first week appt he was back up to his birth weight of 8 lbs, 4 oz. We'll, let's just say that our boy eats well. He weighed 9 lbs, 5 oz today!!!! WOW......and is 21 1/2 inches long. He is growing and getting bigger every day. Some of his Gerber new born outfits were too small for him. I never thought for a minute that I was carrying around an 8 lb baby. It is truly amazing that he fit in my tummy!
I packed up all my maternity clothes today and put them in a plastic bin. This may be my only child, but I am saving my clothes, just in case! The hubby would like another one. I would too, but It is much too soon to say that we will for sure.
I gained more weight with this pregnancy that I thought. Bummer. So, I still have 15.8 lbs to lose. I am determined to get the remaining weight off. I want my old body back. I have not started working out yet. I have been much too busy with the baby to even attempt to work out. Plus, with the H1N1 (swine flu) virus, I am hesitant to take the baby out anywhere.
How is everyone doing? Are you getting out of the house at all? I really haven't gotten out too much. Just doctor's appointments and a trip or two to the grocery store. It's been raining here a lot, and the weather is in the 60's. So, being cold and wet are not ideal conditions for a new born baby.
We'll, gotta run. Got to try to catch Grey's Anatomy premiere.
