27-10-2009 - period???

My mood while writing this blog:

Hello ladies,

So, I have a question for those ladies who have delivered and already had their period. When are you supposed to get your period back? I am just curious. I had Grant on Sept 6th, but still have not had my period yet. I bled for weeks after delivering, then stopped. Then I kinda had a little bit of spotting for one day, but then nothing since then. It's been 7 weeks since he was born.

Now, I am really not anxious to get my period back, but just getting concerned. I want to have sex. But I am scared to death since I haven't had my period . I don't want to chance getting pregnant so soon after delivering. I suppose we could use condoms. My poor hubby has been so patient, but we both want to it now, and also to return to normal.

I still have a few pounds of baby weight to lose. UHRRRR>>>>>>>>> I started back at the gym last week. I went again yesterday. I did my 1 hour weight lifting class. Lots of squats and lunges, bicepts, tricepts etc. Needless to say, I am super sore today. I may go back for more punishement tomorrow. LOL...

Our new home construction is coming right along. They poured the slab on October 7th. And today it is totally dried in. It should be done by some time in January. And to add a little more stress, I still have to put my house on the market to sell it. I hope to have that done by the end of this week. I hope to sell it soon, but not too soon. I may have to move into an apt if our house is not done by then. But, I need the money from the sale of my house to put down a nice down payment on the new house. I hope it all comes together soon. We had two houses sell this year on the same street. One sold in 22 days and one sold in 40 days. So, it shouldn't be a problem selling it. I am in a good location in the country and I live on 2 acres.

Oh and I go back to work on Monday. Bummer, it's been so nice being off. My next door neighbor will be watching Grant in her home until January. Then he will go to day care. Has anyone else gone back to work yet? Was it a struggle to get back into the grove? Did you miss your baby terribly??? I must admit, I am not looking forward to going back to work. But, I pretty much have to. So, I will have to suck it up and just do it.

I haven't gotten my period yet either, but I am breastfeeding exclusively. I have no clue when to expect it.I still have 10 pounds to lose (of the 41! I gained). I go to the doctor for my six-week check-up today and hope he gives me the ok to do more than just walk ( I had to have a c-section). Good luck with building (and selling) your house. My husband and I are waiting anxiously to have the funds to build our own. We have a nice plot of land, just need a down payment.

Hey TexYep l am wondering the same, my tummy got all swollen and sore like l was getting my period and then l had spotting for a day and then nothing..lts really confussing.. l gave birth a week after you and Finn is being BF.Jennifer27 got hers and she is still BF and l noticed a few others did as well in the 1 month pages..Good luck going back to work, you will most likely have a good sob when you leave him but then find it nice to be back with your friends and having a bit of time with adults! x

I haven't seen my period up to today's date and I had my baby 10weeks ago ( Aug 16). I bled for 2weeks after delivery and had a little spotting last week, that lasted about a day. Right now, I'm not sad that I haven't seen my period but, I'm scared b/c I started having sex when Caitlynn was 5weeks old. My husband HATES the contraceptive methods UHHRRGGGG :0( I'm not SURE why??? but I'm just doing everything I can not to get pregnant, at least not 4now

I bled for almost 5 weeks after I have Arianna. I got birth control pills from the dr until I get an IUD put it and the pills kick starts my period a little over a week ago. It has been terrible and crampy and heavy-tmi. I started having sex 1 week after the baby was born and was scared too but I guess I live on the edge LOLI would just mention it to your dr. and see what they say.I haven't lost anymore weight and am feeling constantly bloated LOL I will be starting at a gym soon but since I have been back to work since Ari was 6 weeks old and I commute so far I haven't had time or energy to work out. Good for you getting back in there! It's tough but makes you feel so good :o)As far as going back to work I had a really great daycare lined up so even though I miss my babies during the day I know they are so well taken care of. I love the feeling of getting off work and driving up there as fast as I can and see them smile at me. It's hard going back but like you I had no choice so here I am at work.
