02-5-2008 - Recipe - Newport Salad

My mood while writing this blog: Instructional

This makes a large salad. Good for holiday meals, church gatherings.

2 heads Romaine Lettuce

6 green onions chopped w/ green tops

6 ozs sliced almonds

5 ozs China boy noodles (found in the chinese food section at grocery store)

Chop and mix lettuce, onions

Homemade Poppy See Dressing:

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup cider vinegar

5 tsp accent

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1/4 cup poppy seeds

Prepare dressing and ad to salad 30 minutes before serving. Reserve China boy noodles and almonds and sprinkle on and serve immediately.
