My mood while writing this blog: this internet is drivin me nuts! sorry it took so long but the internet keeps f*kn up!

heyy ladies!

so my babyshower was Nov 1st, im 27 weeks, but thought it was best to do it early.. specially with my circumstances... anyways things never go perfect right... so in the morning i get tons of texts like ohhh i cant make it. blah blah blah. i mean like atleast 5 of my friends who had said they'd be there for sure! i also had gotten messages the day before like look im kind-of broke...so i cant come. (mind u i sent the invites out a month ago... n if ur truly broke a pack of diapers -small- could be as little as like 8 or 9 bux. but ok...)

anyways my fam was running late. (like usual) so at 1:30 pm my fam got there to help finish setting up (my mom and i had set up everything the night before... so we'd really have nothing left to do in the morning...) so we finished getting things together.. most people were late (this is miami! lol) but things got up n running...

i had some fam come down from out of town... some of my moms friends came. a few of mine. my dad with his wife n the kids [[i thought that was gonna be akward, n i was worried my mom n them would make my dad feel uncomfortable, but they didnt! they all got along super well! so i was happy!]] we had invited so many people though, but w.e im glad with the turnout. it was truly people who know me and care for me. as for those who didnt even give a reason for not showing up ((specially when they said they would)) fuk em. i got tons of texts sayin i got the gift ill bring it 2 u. n im not gonna deny a gift for my son. not when moneys so tight n shit (even though i got money n gift cards. figure.. babies need lots of shit!)

i didnt get 2 many gifts. mostly cards n money or giftcards. but its fine. i went shopping today n started getting some of the big stuff. i did get the play yard and i was gonna get a crib but i figure for the first few months he can sleep in the top of the play-yard.. n it will save me money n space... (specially cuz space is limited. the moneys not that big a deal but space is a bit limited since we're sharing a room)

so im posting pikz now.. lol. ill give explanations!

so those are some of the gifts. i got more but its 2 many pikz! lol.

i have also bought things i hadn't gotten... i bought a carseat. ordered the walker today and the playmat for the floor, the swing arrives by UPS tommorrow... (ive found great prices on Walmart.com!)

i still need the stroller with the carseat (for when hes real little) got a different stroller for when hes like 6 months... so i'll buy that. n pretty much i just need bottles. i did pretty good with money n gift cards to babies r us. Babies R Us is kinda expensive though so im trying to get many things from walmart n w.e they dont have get at babies r us..

I love your pics and i am glad your shower went well hon! You look great and it looks like your wee one has a lot of people that care :-)
Don't worry about the people that did not pull through. It just shows you their true colours. I have learned through my pregnancy as well who is truly there for you and your right - toss out the ones that are not.
The only one i cannot complete toss is the babies Dad.
You look great and congrats again on such a good shower!!!! :-)

Sounds like you had a great time hun, and those who didnt even bother to show up...welll its their loss, I wouldnt even pay them a second thought. The people who matter were there..... throughout your life and many different situations you always find out who your true friends are and if you can count them on one hand you are a very lucky gal. xoxoxox
