03-8-2009 - 21 Week Big U/S and OB Appt

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Hey all!! U/S went great. Baby was very active and this time was loving showing her "money shot"!! She's still a girl and so much bigger then the last U/S (around 16 weeks). I will post her U/S pics later on. The tech wasn't happy I had a private u/s done says their office can do the same thing...blah blah whatever.

Ob appt went not so good. BP past few visits has been elevated and today was really high and then before leaving the office even higher. So, doc wasnt too happy with this so I was sent for labs and sent home to do a 24 hour urine pee thing. No idea, but its what she says. They also rechecked hemoglobin and for the amount of weeks I am she says its way too low.

So, at this point she told me take it very easy and no stress or crazy activity. I told her I am 30% from bedrest and her reply was well good because complete bed rest could be in the near future and medicines as she doesn't seem to wishful that this BP will come down...UGH

They just all make it sound so scary. Blood Pressure alone is scary topic especially if not controlled and I am not sure about hemoglobin, but she says its important too because thats how baby makes their blood.

I heard her talking to another doc and they mentioned pre eclampsia have no idea what that is guess I can google it.

Thats my update and hope everyone else is doing good as well.
