02-4-2008 - Pregnancy this far!!

My mood while writing this blog: All of the above!! lol

Sept.20/07 - I went to the E.R. last night cuz of more cramps and pink spotting, after waiting for 4 hours in the emergency room I got put in a room and was told to put on a gown, about 5 minutes later the doc walked in and goes "tell me whats happening" so I told him, and he goes "well this early in the pregnancy theres nothing that can be done for the spotting or the cramps, your body will work out whats going to happen on its own" then he said to follow up with my family doc next week, and it was like he wanted me to leave right then without him checking the baby or anything! I asked him if it could be some sort of infection or something, and he goes "well I doubt its an infection but it could be (doctor talk) the implantation process, sometimes it results in some spotting"! Thats when I said "UMMM Doesnt that happen early in pregnancy? Like say around a week or 2?" And he says in a Im the doctor your not tone of voice "well how far along do you suspect you are?" And I go "well Im glad you asked, according to my LMP Im almost 11 weeks"! Im telling ya, the look on his face was priceless and you could tell he hadnt read my file close enough! Then I got moved into another room where they could do some swabs (I hate that part) and he put in a requisition for an ultrasound to be done today at 3! I cant beleive he was just gonna push me out the door without doing anything to see if things were ok, GEEEZZZ I was soooo mad!! Anyway, at least I get an u/s for today and hopefully it'll put my mind to rest!! I'll update when its over! Oh and wish me luck on not peeing my pants after I drink all that water, lmao!!

Sept. 26/07 - Well I had my first u/s last Thurs. and according to measurments I was only 9 weeks and 4 days, so today Im 10 weeks 3 days and a week or 2 less than I thought. It doesnt really make sense though cuz I know my conception date. Oh well, the baby will come when its ready no matter when the due date is. lol. A bonus is the cramping and spotting hasnt happened this week at all and Im still feeling movements every day! The doc. said everything looks fine according to blood work, urine sample, and u/s. and I go for my first prenatal at 12 weeks and cant wait to see if I measure at my date or u/s date... i'll keep you all posted! ;)

Oct. 10/07 - I had my first prenatal yesterday and nothing exciting happened, other than a pap and some nasty bloodwork! My poor arm :'( ..... I've gained 3 lbs already according to me weighing myself, my doc is calling yesterdays weight my "pre-pregnancy weight" though, so according to the books I havent gained any weight yet!!! I go back again in 3 weeks to get the results of all the tests and to schedule another u/s and I cant wait for that!! I feel so good now too, no morning, noon and night sickness in over a week, no spotting or cramps, I feel like I have more energy and my mood swings are pretty much nil (knock on wood) lol. Now if I could just shake this cough I'd be pretty much normal, other then the fact that nothing I own fits me and all my shirts have this mysterious watermelon shape in the belly part of em. Ah well, Im happy!! Till next time, cheers!!

Oct. 19/07 - Well I got a call from doc after the last set of bloodwork and urine sample on the 10th, it turns out they had forgotten to take 1 vial of blood, so back out there I go yesterday, its about a 15-20 minute drive out of my way. They had to take blood out of my hand cuz the veins in my arms werent cooperating, that was nice :'( So I get home around 3 and the doc calls again around 4 and says that my urine showed that I have a bladder infection. WHAT?? I thought there were symptoms to bladder infections??? lol I told him the only thing Im feeling is some weird pain in my lower right side from front to back. I have to head back out there again today to give another urine sample and MORE BLOOD!!! AHHHHH. Last night I was doing some research on bladder and kidney infections and as I was sitting there reading the signs and symptoms its a sure thing. I have no energy and could sleep all day, cloudy smelly urine, fever, chills so bad I vibrate, and getting up twice in the middle of the night to pee and I only sleep for 5-6 hours!! The only thing I dont feel is the pressure or the burning. For days now Ive been saying to my hubby and my mom that I just dont feel good and could never point to one thing that I thought was casuing it. I just felt yucky!! Well now I know why! Bring on the meds so I can start feeling better!!! lol

Nov.12/07 - I went to the doc last week and found out I lost 2 pounds and am meausuring a week ahead! He set up another u/s for me for tomorrow at 12:15 whooo hooooo, wish me luck on finding out what Im having. Hopefully this little BOY BOY BOY BOY BOY (hee hee) will cooperate so we can know for sure! There are a couple names my hubby and I love, everyone else hates them, but its only us that matters. They are.... Carl Watson Denis and Earl Denis Watson. I dont kow why I love those names so much but they just sound so cute for a baby. My youngest daughter woulda been Carl had she of been a boy. For a girl we have picked out.... Either Leah Megan Tracey, or Laci Megan Tracey, although I have a feeling it was a waste of time coming up with girl names. Hopefully we'll know for sure tomorrow!!!

Nov. 14/07 - Well I went for my u/s yesterday and boy was I disgusted with the tech. She wouldnt tell me anything, not the sex, the size of the baby, she wouldnt show me the brain, the body, his/her little feet, NOTHING!!! My oldest daughter came with me to the appointment and was asking some questions like "is that the heartbeat" and "is that its spine" and this Bitc* of a lady ignored her without a word! Not one word to my 12 year old!!! Whenever she asked a question after that, even though I couldnt see the screen, I tried my best to answer her. The tech. finally pipes up and says about a half an hour into it that she wishes either people could get their dates right or the doctors would do a dating u/s before they send their patients to get an 18 week u/s when their not 18 weeks! IM 17 WEEKS AND 4 FLIPPING DAYS PREGNANT!! She says she realizes that by the measurments but still cant get the pathology without me being 18 weeks! What the heck is the pathology anyway? Apperently 4 days makes a big difference, and I understand it does but she pretty much gave up with a "Well your baby is in a breach position so theres nothing I can do at this point, make an appointment with your doctor and come at the right time" then she walked outta the room! She was lucky this isnt my first baby and I know babys can move around a lot cuz Im sure her saying what she did about the breach position thing woulda scared a first timer!! Anyway as I was cleaning the gel off and talking to my daughter about what had just happened another tech came in and handed us a couple pictures of the u/s and said to have a good day and she'll see us in about a week, I said "No offence but theres noway Im coming back here again, that was the worst 40 minutes ever especially when it was suppose to be enjoyable"! She then showed us that the heartbeat was 125 and said the baby looks healthy just a little small and wasnt cooperating for the "stuff" they needed and that the radiolosgist would send their report to my doctor and my doc could set up any follow up that was needed. I thanked her for being nice and left, without going pee!!! hahaha When I got to my moms a 5 minute drive away I thought I was gonna fill her toilet I had to go so bad and my daughter was laughing her head off at my pee pee dance! Anyway I called my doc after my 5 minute pee and explained everything to the secretary and she set up another appointment for me for next Monday at 4:10 so he could set up another u/s. Hopefully this time I'll actually get to see the baby and not leave the place pissed off and worried that something is wrong! So I'll post next Monday or Tuesday with what the doc has to say and when my next u/s will be! Cheers Ladies!!

Nov. 20/07 - Went to my docs appointment today so he could set up another u/s for me, and I found out why the other u/s tech wouldnt tell me much. The baby is "measuring quite small" is what my doc said, and at the time I just wasnt thinking so I didnt ask HOW SMALL!! Also Im measuring 2 weeks behind what I was measuring 2 weeks ago, AND I lost another 2.75 lbs which mixed with everything else has my doc concerned. He wants to send me to the specialist if the baby isnt weighing what it should in 3 weeks and/or if I havent gained any weight or lost more weight when I go back to him a couple days after the next u/s. I keep thinking this is a major major problem BUT if it was that big of a problem he wouldnt have waited 3 weeks for the next u/s right? He says he wants to give the baby time to grow and thats why we're waiting that long. I felt like saying I want an u/s everyday but I dont think that would of went over very well, lol. Oh yea and another thing is that the babys heartbeat was 170 last u/s and this time it was 125, I know they are both in the "normal" range but it still has me a bit worried. I think Im going crazy!!!!

Nov.28/07 - Well I'm feeling a little better about things with how much this little butter bean is kicking, day and night and can be felt on the outside now! I find my self falling asleep almost every night with my hands pressed firmly on my belly and I joke that the babe is kicking so much so I'll stop pressing, lol. Hubby and Daughter have felt it a bunch too and were just as excited as they were the first time either of them felt a baby move. My belly is getting so big too and I would bet Ive gained a couple pounds in the last week. My cold is finally gone too although my cough is just as bad as a couple weeks ago and my mouth feels burnt on the inside from all the cough drops. Oh and the heartburn has kicked in at full force, plus indegestion, and headaches, but I feel great other then all that!!! Weird how if I wasnt pregnant all that stuff would probably put me on my ass in bed, whining about how bad I feel!! At this point though, with all the worries lately, I appreciate feeling the things Im "suppose to" be feeling! Cant wait till the next u/s so we can hopefully find out for sure that we're having a BOY!! hehehe. Till next time, take care everyone!!!

Dec.8/07 - WHOO HOOOO u/s Monday at 1:00, please please please pray that HE'S grown and everything is fine and that HIS legs be open so we can know for sure!!!! PUUULLLEEEAAASSSEEEEE!!!!! lmao. I gotta work right after the u/s so I probably wont be able to post that day, who knows though, I guess it depends on how excited I am, lol. If not that night, then I'll post the next day with the results, think of us in your prayers ladies and thanks in advance! :-D

Dec.18/07 - Great News... Went to my doc today to find out results of last weeks u/s and everything was PERFECT!! Its about damn time something went right!!!! I measured right on target today too, the only thing he says hes a wee bit concerned about is that I still only put on not quite a pound where the norm at this point shoulda been 5-6 pounds or so. It was kinda funny, normally when I weigh myself I take off my shoes and any heavy sweater I might be wearing at the time, so I went through all the motions of taking everything off and hopped on the scale, I was half a pound lighter then last appointment so I put back on my sweater and my shoes and took the loose change outta my coat pocket and stuck in my jeans pocket and still only put on 3 quarters of a pound...hehehe tricky tricky!! Seriously though I dont know what else to do to try to gain some weight. Oh well, I start seeing the "baby doc" on the 15th of January so maybe by then I'll have put on a bit of weight, and there'll be no cause for concern at all. He also did some more blood work today too to see if the reason I'm having so much pelvic pain could possibly hopefully just be an infection that can be cured with some medicine or some anti-inflmaitory. Keep your fingers and toes crossed its that simple and this wont carry on the rest of the pregnancy! Until next time, stay safe and happy pregnancies!!

Jan. 05/08 - So I had to work night before last a 4-12 shift, first shift back since the Christmas holidays, and I came home a little after midnight and felt sooo worn out. I eventually fell asleep around 2am - ish. When I woke up yesterday morning around 10ish I got up (slowly cuz it hurt) out of bed and couldnt beleive the pressure in my vagina and how much my belly had changed. As I was standing there beside our bed staring at my now large low low low belly I pulled up my shirt and my hubby, who works midnights, goes "holy sh*t what happened"? I kinda chuckled and said its not that bad maybe Ive just dropped early or something. Anyway, a couple hours later after going through my daily routine we headed up to my Moms house to pick up my kids who had stayed the night there as hubby and I both had to work, when I waddled through the door my 12 year old daughter comes up to me and goes "geez Mom what'd you to do your belly"? and my Mom walks out of her kitchen and took one look and mouthed the words "OMG T your sooo low, is that normal?". After that comment, and shes got 6 kids, I got a little worried that maybe this isnt as normal as I thought. When I got home I did a little research and asked a few questions around some boards and I come to the conclusion that it does happen, dropping early and sometimes doesnt mean anything, just to keep the docs number close. Anyway so thats my "dropping" story, I havent called the doc yet as Im not that concerned about it at this point, BUT if the pinky discharge and cramps start again any time soon like a couple days ago then I wont hesitate to call. Jan. 18/08 - I went to my doc on Monday and so far evrything is going ok. They didnt have my file from my other doc so he didnt have anything to go by though. The scales were broken so I couldnt get weighed, which I havent figured out yet if thats good or bad, lol. When he was feeling my belly for the baby, the left side was soooo tender I almost slapped his hand away, he asked if I had ever had that before and if I was constipated, I said no and he wasnt sure what caused it. Anyway he said the baby felt big and beefy and even though its still early he thinks the baby will be a good size. He also asked when my due date was and when I told him I knew my conception date he said we would possibly go by my firs due date which is a week earlier, whoo hoooo. lol. I go back again in 2 weeks and the scales will be fixed and he will have my file so at leasy he `ll know exactly where we `re at. Also just wanted to add that I had some more spotting today, twice. The first time was so light you could barely see it on the toilet paper but the second time was completly visible, it still makese me nervous but Im just gonna wait till the 28th to see what the doc says. Well I had a bit of a scare this past Saturday night. I had just gotten out of the most glorious 1 hour long bath around 7-ish and had some toast and apple sauce and watched a movie with hubby and kids when all of a sudden out of the blue the top of my head started throbbing and I felt so dizzy and so sick. I staggered to my bed which is a whole 10 feet away from my couch with hubby tagging along behind me asking me if I was ok, I crawled into bed and as soon as my head hit the pillow the nausea hit, my daughter grabbed me a bucket as there was noway I could get out of bed due to the dizziness and blurred vision and I thought for sure I was gonna be sick. Hubby felt my head and said I was so hot and I was, my whole body felt like it was on fire. I laid there for a an hour or so trying so hard to hold back the urge to be sick and willing the pounding in my head to stop when just as quickly as it started it all seemed to pass. I didnt dare get up out of bed though for fear that it would come back so I just laid there and fell asleep. I have no idea what brought it on but when I got up in the morning I was fine, a little headachy like I didnt get enough sleep but no dizziness or anything. Today I woke up with a giant size headache and Im not sure if I should call the doc or not, I hate being a whiner but Im not sure if this headache is related to what happened night before last. I `ll post again later. :)

Jan.28.08 - Well I just got back from my doctors appointment with some good/bad news. Good news first... I gained 3 lbs, all of my tests were normal, my urine was fine, Im measuring 2 weeks ahead, they changed my due date, and babys heartbeat was 130... Now for the bad news... The BH ive been feeling probably arent BH at all but light `real ` contractions. He wants to test the fluid that comes out with the real powerful ones to see if its urine or amniotic fluid, so I have to call him the next time it happens or head down to the hospital, he said the spotting ive been having could be caused from having so many kids and from having a baby not 2 years ago, that my body could think its ready to deliver and is making the preperations, and that I could already be dialted up to 2 centimeters and could stay like that for weeks but when the contractions start Im to lay down and put my feet up and rest no matter what Im doing as he wants me to make it to 36 weeks and even if they arent regular or dont last as long as they should Im to head down to the hospital just in case. I wonder why he didnt check though??? Also he said my due date really means nothing at this point beacause the way things are going Im not making it that far anyway but according to measurments Im measuring a tad over 30 weeks which is 2 weeks ahead of MY due date and baby still feels bigger then the average. He wants me to go for another u/s but I said I would rather not until I NEED NEED NEED to go as I dont want to know what Im having. But if its needed I wouldnt hesitate. Anyway I know I cant wait for baby to get here although I still cant help feeling like Im gonna go over due again even with what happened today... BUT I guess we `ll see sooner or later. Hi all... Yesterday was a pretty weird day, with some weird symptoms and after googling a thousand times about preterm labor, braxton hicks and bladder infections and everything else under the sun Im even more confused to what was going on... I kept waking up in the night to pee, (normal the last few nights)and everytime I laid back down my stomach felt like it was being poked with a needle from the inside out, then when I got up for the last time in the AM from the pains I started noticing them mainly on the lower left side of my belly along with lower back pain and weird twinges in my vagina and in my butt that seemed to intesify with the back pain, they didnt much feel like the contractions I remember, as this is my 5th. I had a bowel movement hoping it would help but it didnt help at all. As the morning progressed I started with the BH that Ive been plagued with for a while and then this weird feeling like my vagina is big (weird I know), I went to the washroom and kinda felt around down there and to me it definatly felt swollen. I wish I knew what was going on and I dont know why but I was soooo afraid to call my doc and have them say `oh your just being paranoid, go home and relax `, and then something like `you should of already known that, this is your 5th `. Oh I guess I should add that Ive only gone into labor once on my own and that was 12 years ago so Im a newbie at the whole contractions first thing. Also the baby was still moving fine, maybe lower then before and I feel the head rolling sensation, and then during the worst part of those pains `it ` seemed to kick more. So far this morning I seem to be ok and was only up a couple times in the night to piddle and it was the same thing when I laid back down... Hopefully they wont start today but if they do Im gonna call the doc no matter what!! Thanks for reading!!

Went to the docs today for routine appointment and it was pretty ummmm routine, lol. Checked my BP and babys heartbeat and both were perfect. Babys HB was 140 again. I gained 3 more pounds which for some reason was depressing although Ive been trying to gain. Weird eh?? Anyway, they didnt do much else and werent at all concerned about the pains Ive been having and said the BH were normal and said they could still be related to me having a baby not quite 2 years ago that my uterus knows what to do and wants to get things moving along. Whatever!! I just cant wait till he/shes out and they stop all together!! lol. One thing he did say was when he was putting the tape on to measure my belly that baby is definatly growing and doesnt have much room in there and I measured right on!! That made me happy!! We talked about if I was gonna have another u/s and about the GD test I havent done yet, found out I dont have to fast for it which is awesome so I might as well suck it up and go... Went to the hospital today after calling my doctors office to see what was going on with me... I had more spotting last night, redder then normal but about the same amount, this extreme back pain, and an unbeleivable amount of discharge. The doc that checked me out said my cervix is long and soft and when I asked what that meant she said it was a good thing. I guess I shoulda asked again but I figured I could just come home and google it anyway. There were a few contractions on the monitor and I noticed with each one the babys hearbeat would either go up by 20 or down by 20. They said that was normal too and that the discharge is completly normal and they couldnt find where the bleeding was coming from although it did show up on the strip. I didnt even know they could do a `strip ` to test for blood. So its not an infection of any sort which is what I was originally thinking and everything is fine for now.

Went shopping today with one of my bestests, I got a some more outfits for the baby, this time I got a couple pink and a couple blue and a couple more neutral. I also got some Ivory so I could wash all of `its ` clothes, some baby shampoo and baby wash, powder, cream, some wee little diapers and sensitive wipes, 4 little undershirts and a mobile. It was soooo fun shopping for the baby but hard not knowing what to buy. I might dig my way to the shed sometime this week and get out the bins of baby clothes and store them in my room so they will be there once baby comes and I will know if I need the boy or girl bin. BOY BOY BOY...lol

Hi all, I just wanted to update that the baby started moving around again today like crazy. 2 whole days with barely a nudge and then today for about 10 minutes `it ` was doing the tango in my belly. All of my kids and hubby got to feel and count the hiccups and feel the pushes. They arent really kicks anymore and I wouldnt even describe them as punches, it was like rolling, I could feel its head rolling and pushing in my crotch! We were extremly happy and extremly releived though, that `it ` finally decided to let us know he/she was perfectly fine! I guess the docs do know what their talking about sometimes! lmao

Oh yea and I almost forgot to add that while the baby was moving around so much, I was kidding around to make the kids laugh and said to my belly.. `if your a girl kick Mommy ` guess what??? It was like she did a somersault, then I asked if she was a boy to kick me and there was a 30 second pause between the rolls... the kids, hubby and I were laughing our heads off. So I asked HER if she liked the name Laci and if so to kick me, well again it was like another somersault, then I asked if she liked the name Leah and nothing at all, hahahha I guess she already has our minds made up for us on her name and all day since then Ive been saying SHE and HER instead of HE and HIM..lmao!! Too funny eh?!?!?!?!

Well I went for my docs appointment today and found out Ive gained another 3lbs for a total of 9lbs, babys heartbeat was around 155-160, and Im still measuring 2 weeks ahead... He rechecked the wheel and rechecked his measurments just to be sure and sure enough its exaclty 2 weeks ahead, he felt my belly and said Im definatly all baby and that there is little chance the measument was off. The thing thats making me nervous is that I cant go back for another 3 weeks as my doc isnt there in 2 weeks so what if the measurments are correct and when I go back I `ll be measuring 38.4 weeks and what if by then the baby is already too big... geeez I absolutly drive myself crazy with all these `what ifs `... OK Im done with the what ifs and just gonna enjoy the last month and a half of my pregnancy!! HAHAHA FAT CHANCE!! lmao

Well its all so clear to me now... the symptoms Ive been having these last few days just werent adding up to anything until tonight when I went to go to the washroom and it almost brought tears to my eyes.. no burning but man oh man it hurt my stomach and back soo bad I didnt think I was going to be able to finish peeing.... owowowow

I took yet another trip to the hospital again yesterday for bleeding and that weird pain in my left side, when we got there they hooked up the monitors and checked my blood pressure and pulse rate, my blood pressure was 147/92 and my pulse rate was 114. They said it was a little high which I already knew cuz mine is ALWAYS perfect, anyway after doing some tests and an internal they came to the conclusion that I have a friable cervix, in other words its very fragile and will bleed with any type of injury to it apperently a lot of women get it during pregnancy. They also said that my placenta is tearing away from the uterus wall and that could also be causing the bleeding. Anyway so he checked me and said Im starting to dilate on the outside, whatever the heck that meant. lol.... I think in other words its still gonna be a while yet, which I knew already anyway although at least Im dilating a little... The doc there called my doc right away about my blood pressure and pulse rate and I guess my doc told him I was fine so they sent me home. They said if I have any of these symptoms, and named a bunch, that Im to come right back down without hesitation. So its back to waiting but one bonus is there isnt gonna be sooo much wondering as to what the blood is from!! Till next time!! ;)

Went to the docs this past Monday for my regular appointment and found out Im getting my membranes stripped next Tuesday!! whoo hooo Im sooooo praying that it will work as Im so uncomfortable and ready for this pregnancy to be over!! Doc had a hard time feeling the babys head cuz the baby is so low, he said all he could feel was the bottom part of the head by the neck, so I now know why Im feeling the pressure, cuz the baby dropped!! I thought that wasnt suppose to happen until labor begins?? Oh well, I guess every pregnancy really is different!!

Well we went to the docs today and found out Im at +2 station, 2cm dilated, completely thinned and cervix is completely ripe. In other words my doc says my body is 100% ready for baby to be born. He did the sweep or strip or whatever you wanna call it and when he was doing it I got an awesome contraction and my plug came out, it was bright red blood. I also tested positive for GBS (group B strep) so I guess I `ll need some meds while in labor. My BP was 98 over 75 and I gained 2lbs. As we were leaving the office the doc said he'll be expecting a call b the end of the week as I was 100% favorable for the sweep and he has a good feeling that it will work to start labor. Im sooooo hoping he was right. Anyway, heres to hoping my next update will be my birth story!! lol

I AM SOOOOOO PISSED!! I went for my docs appointment today and he didnt do anything!! NOT A THING!! They called about an hour before my appointment and I didnt answer but Im assuming now that it was to cancel as when we got there there was another preggo who was a week ahead of me there for her appointment too. They must of double booked. Im sooooo angry though cuz last week he said we would try the stripping again this week and he did nothing! Another thing that worried me is I gained 6 EFFING POUNDS in 6 days!!! WTF is up that?!?! He said it coulda been a problem with the scale but I weighed myslef at my moms and it was the same weight. How in the hell did that happen?? All I do is walk walk walk and been eating very healthy when I can actually eat so I dont understand. He salso said it could be access amniotic fluid BUT how the hell would he know that without doing an u/s or something. I hate being pushed to the back burner and kept in the dark! :( Anyway, I did manage to ask him about castor oil as he was walking out the door not even 2 mins after he walked in. I asked what his opinion was on it and all he said is it works and its messy, especially if you go into labor and only got 'rid' of half of 'it' at home. Well needless to say I stopped at the drug store and got some. Its been almost 3hrs since I took it and I havent had so much as a shit cramp yet!! :( I'll definatly post again and let everyone know how the castor oil works out though!! Keep your fingers crossed for me! ;)
