04-3-2009 - Baby Rice

My mood while writing this blog: happy

i tried John with a bit of baby rice on Monday. i made it up with 1 spoon (used the baby spoon) of baby rice and 10 spoons of baby milk. i gave him his bottle first and he drank 7oz i then used the rest of his bottle (normally has 8) to make up the baby rice. and he absolutely loved it. after a few goes with the spoon he was actually opening his mouth ready for it (so cute). last night i did the same and he only took half of what i made. i have been giving it to him with his 7pm feed but i think this may be too late for him to have it as he was tired. i am going to give it to him at his 4pm feed as that way he normally stays awake then and has another bottle at 7pm.

Also, John has his second set of injections tomorrow. i am not looking forward to that as he was a bit upset last time.

Also, i recieved a letter from the health clinic saying he has to go for another injection (BCG) next week. my poor baby's going to be full of pin pricks.

On an entirely seperate note, can i just ask everyone who is the praying kind to say a little pray for one of my best friends little boy, he is an absolutely beautiful 5 year old who has Cystic Fibrosis and unfortunately he's pretty bad with it. He's just been admitted back into hospital for two weeks for IV's and his mum has been told that he will have to have these every 3 months now. and will also need to have surgery to put a permanent tube into his chest. His mum is also 36 weeks pregnant with her second one (a girl who luckily is absolutley fine) so she's pretty stressed about everything as you can imagine.
