09-6-2009 - John's first word

My mood while writing this blog: absolutely gutted

on Saturday the 6th June 2009 at sometime in the early evening John uttered his very first clear as you like word and the thing is i can't even deny that John said it.

John was sat on Andrew's knee, facing him, gurgling away quite happily in his own little world. i was sat on the opposite side of the room not really paying much attention when all of a sudden John said the word, it came right out of the blue and my head just shot up and looked over. Andrew saw me looking at him so he knows that i heard the word and trust me he was so pleased with himself because as you guessed it John's first word was .......................................................

DADA

I can't believe all the months i have spent saying MAMAMAMAMAMAMA to John have been in vain.

but in my own mind John's first word doesn't start until he says MAMA
