| 21-9-2009 - Developmental Check Up | My mood while writing this blog:pretty proud |
i took John for his developmental check up this morning.
He's weighing in at 22 pound 1 ounce (50th percentile)
His length is 76 cm (75th percentile)
his head circumfrance is fine - not sure how many cm's but she did say it was in the 50th percentile.
His sight is fine, they only wafted a pen side to side in front of him and he followed it so apparently that means he's fine.
he can pass things from one hand to another and also use two fingers to pick things up off the floor.
She did ask if he can roll over. but he has never ever done this. i remember seeing all of the little ones on here and their mums were saying they started rolling at 4/5 months and i remember waiting for John to start doing it but he never did. she didn't seem concerned about this so it's not something i will worry about.
His crawling is coming along brilliantly, he still army style crawls a lot but the last 4 days or so he has actually been up on his knees crawling, he loves to walk while holding onto your hands. he loves it but i don't it breaks my back lol.
he now has two teeth the second one popped through last week. they are the bottom ones, so cute.
oh and guess what
he finally said Mummy, he only said it the once and it was closely followed by Daddy, but i definately heard him say it and it was as clear as you like. he hasn't said it since but i know it's only a matter of time now.
He's become very clingy with me all of a sudden, i literally can't leave the room because he will start crying and trying to army style crawl to whether i am. the last couple of days he has been a bit better as long as you distract him first. i really hope the clingyness wears off soon as Andrew is already being a bit of grouch about being at home with him (or as he says Stuck with him) so i don't really want to give andrew any excuses to start moaning even more than he does now. i honestly haven't got the patience to listen to him after he knew my dream was to stop working and for him to work. and if i'm the one who has to work then he should damn well have the kids. (i have loads more i could vent about this subject but i would honestly be typing this up all day and i was supposed to start work 30 minutes ago as well lol)
right well i'm going to do a bit of work so my tray doesnt look so empty lol
Hope all you ladies are keeping lovely.
Tracey
