20-5-2008 - 5 weeks later tired but loving lifeMy mood while writing this blog:
tired but loving life

I'm still in shock that I am actually looking at my son. He's beyond beautiful. He's an angel disguised as my son. His journey into this world has been a worldwind of emotions. From the day I found out I was pregnant to the moment I heard his cry to this moment right here.

Its a blessing. I thank the Lord for letting me in on this club we call motherhood. I feel like crap and look like crap but all I care about is if my son is okay. Since 7:30am on 4/11/08, I have been on another level. My water broke that morning, and I knew this was it. My lil man was ready to see the world. By 3pm, myself and my son had a decelaration in our heartbeat. Next thing I know, we are being prepped in the O.R. I cried, I prayed, I shook...I was so scared. I was so scared that something was going to happen to my son. The son's father, stared at me and tried to coax me to believe everything was going to be okay, I can see it in his eyes he was scared too.

At 4:11pm, Miguel Julian was born. I spent 5hrs in recovery, with fever and a possibility of a blood transfusion. But with God on my side..my child and I were able to leave the hospital 3 days later...it was a tough 3 days..I saw a cardiologist for my son, a neurologist, a blood doctor, and my pediatrician. We left the hospital to go straight to the Neurologist.

The next day we saw the pediatrician.

Long story short, my son is doing well. He does have anemia but we are taking action to raise his levels up. but my poor son has a mild case of reflux. It pains me to see him uncomfortable all the time.

So as I have about 20 minutes to type a quick blog, my son is crying. well screaming. He gets like that in the evening. My father is here on vacation and he's trying to put him to sleep. I'm biting my lip trying not to take him from my pops and popping a breast in my son's mouth so he can calm down. LOL.
