| 06-3-2012 - Update on my going ons 15 weeks |
My mood while writing this blog: OK |
I am not 15 weeks and 1 day into my 3rd pregnancy. Just like with my other two, the nausea is certainly still there. I am expecting relief in 4-6 weeks. Easter should be a good time for me! Bring on the family Easter feast!
I did go to a friend's wedding over the weekend and they had the best food I have had in a long time. I have not eaten that much for a while. She was in my wedding when she was 9 months pregnant and now she is 7 weeks pregnant after recurrent miscarriages. So happy for her.
I am 95% sure I have been feeling this baby moving some. Feeling flutters and the contracting/tightening of my uterus in response to it. What an exciting time. I always miss the movements after giving birth.
In other news, which is exciting to me... I got word 3 weeks ago that the current childbirth educator at the local hospital will be moving, so her position will be opening. Her and I trained the same year, under the same instructor, so we have the same credentials. She has more experience than me because she has actually been teaching longer and more classes. She recommended me to the HR/Recruiting Director and I submitted my resume this morning. This is coming at a time that i was thinking about quitting the field of teaching. I hope that my spark can be renewed and I can enjoy it! It will be an excellent opportunity for me and good pay.
I also have a possible doula client in June. This is much needed. I am hoping to get 3-4 clients before the birth of my own at the end of Aug. So, I am taking clients from March until the beginning of August. I need the money to pay for my own doula and I really want to have some labor/birth photography to document my VBA2C!
Hoping I get my chance for a trial of labor this time around. Please no breech babies. I did find a local chiropractor that can do the Webster technique on me. This is great news as well. I live in a rural area and there is not many options in alternative or even traditional therapies. I traveled over an hour to my last chiropractor. I absolutely LOVE her and would like to go back, but the travel is just not in the cards. I am already traveling over an hour in the opposite direction to give birth with a midwife that is supportive of my VBA2C. Heard one of her patients gave birth in the bathroom in her room at the hospital. Most care providers want you in the bed at all costs, but this is where this mom was comfortable, so the midwife just caught the baby with her little headlamp on her head like a great midwife!! Makes me excited for my own experience with her. I go see her for the first time as a new patient next Monday. I go pick up my medical records from my current provider tomorrow.
My little girl has been sick for a couple days now. Coughing and high fever. I am sure it is something viral. I weaned her at the end of November and I can tell she has been a lot more sick since weaning. :-( I could not have tolerated nursing her through this pregnancy though, my breasts and nipples just hurt!
Well that is all I am going to chat about today. I could go all day really. Good luck to everyone in their pregnancies and bless the families that are affected by the tornado in IN and KY.
