Write a new blog

My mood while writing this blog: Obsessed |
I wanted to do a quick update. Not a lot is going on.
I had an appointment last Monday at 29 weeks and baby is head down and anterior at that point. Not sure when my 2nd baby turned, but I know I was surprised as hell when they did that u/s at 36 weeks after telling me at 33 weeks that she was head down. I will never forget that feeling.. EVER!
I am so obsessed and scared that this baby will be breech as well. With every wiggle and poke I am wondering what is going on in there, and what position this baby is in. It is not just the curiosity that we all feel, this is insanely obsessive. I hope I don't go completely insane in the next few weeks. I think this one must have turned when getting back from vacation. I think he/she was breech before, only because I have not been feeling the obtrusive pelvic pain that I have been feeling since early in the 2nd trimester. I felt the same kind of pain with Kaitlyn. I don't feel it now, so I can take a walk without the nagging pain and pressure as if someone kicked me in my vagina. This is all just me thinking out loud...and guess work.
We took the kids to a hotel with indoor water park a couple hours from our house this past weekend. They really enjoyed themselves. Kaitlyn has something funky in her foot though because she had a spot and a red line streaking. That is not generally a good sign, so called the nurse and they wanted to see her. She is now on antibiotics and getting foot soaks (she loves the foot soaks).
I did find out some other news that I will be able to share in a few weeks...so excited and a nice thing to look forward to.
I am on my new schedule at work now, which is basically working two 1st shift days and one 2nd shift day... at least 22 hours per week. Just need to get adjusted to the schedule and the kids out of school and daycare. I have not been in the best mood with them. I need to do better. I know they like staying home with their mom and/or dad, but probably dread it when their mommy is a tired grump.
My next appointment is July 3rd and I will be 32 weeks. I get to see my midwife again that day, have not seen her in a while. My mom and sis are going with me so they can figure out how to get to the hospital when I have this baby. That is good, I will have help with keeping the kids entertained. I still need to go check out the hospital where I will be delivering. I know nothing about it. It does cause me some anxiety on that front. I always tell my students to go on a tour of the hospital and have a list of questions, like where to go during day hours and where to go after hours, hospital policies on eating and drinking, fetal monitoring, labor comfort measures, newborn procedures, lactation counselors, visitor policy, etc.
Until next time.. Happy Gestating!
