Greetings to all. First of I would like to thank the ladies that responded to my original blog about a friend in need of prayer. Your prayers and along with many other dear friends and family members is what has brought her through this horrific ordeal. God is good!! As you know she was severely between by her 18 year old patient (I wont go into details). She had some bruising of the brain and unfournatly has caused some damage...long term I do not know...matter of fact I know very little...my SIL has been very hard to get a hold of being that she spends ALL of her time with her mom and as well as at work...this girl is so strong, she gets VERY little to no sleep what so ever. What I do know is that Delia is out of the hospital BUT she is in an rehabilitation clinic. She has lost some (very little, just bits and pieces) of her memory, but im sure with time it will come back to her. For instance she recongnizes her brother as her brother but doesn't know his name. She knows her home address but unsure of the state she lives in. Also, she has to be taught how to walk and talk again. Soon after she will be transferred to a home...she will be living by herself but will be with a caregiver for most of the day if not all. My understanding is that they expect her to be in this apartment for 4-6 months, then she will be able to go home, to live on her own, I do not know.

All this is very unfourtanate but Delia has pulled through and she seems to be doing well. I know her family is extremely happy with her progress, and of course so am I. Thanks again ladies.
