21-10-2008 - 1st hospital app

i had my first hospital appointment today and everything went well. My mum picked me up in her friends $250,000 convertible Mercades Benz! So posh! everyone as staring haha. we got to the hospital about 5 minutes late and i was stressing so bad because i didnt want to miss the appointment, but we ended up having to wait 40 minutes anyway!

The doc checked my weight and ive put on a total of about 9kg!! thats about 19lbs. i couldnt beleive it! i dont feel like i have put on that much weight. i guess a lot of it is baby and fluid and uterus and stuff. then we went through my medical history and all that crap then he checked my blood pressure which is back to 120/60. it was a little low a month or so ago. He listened to my heart and lungs- all good there too. i layed down and he had a feel of my belly and said it all feels good, no lumps or bumps that shouldnt be there, and baby was responding to the doc pressing on my belly which he said was spot on. my fundus is 24cm which once again is PERFECT! :D :D couldnt be any better.

Im doing shared care with the hospital and my GP because sometimes its going to be more convenient to get to my GP, also i like her :) So i have to book in to see my GP at 28 weeks to discuss the results of the blood test ill be having a few days prior. That will include the glucose (diabetes) test, iron and my blood counts. and then nothing until 36 weeks when i go back to the hospital for another checkup :)
