22-12-2008 - Im so lucky

OH MY GOSH! My dad's wife text me this morning and said lets go shopping and i was super excited because last week i asked them if they would like to put some money toward a very expensive cot that i want. We so we got to the baby store and i showed her the cot and how it can be converted into a single bed and then you can turn it into a double bed and serperate couch at the same time. She really liked it and thought it as great so we asked one of the shop girls to come and talk to us about it and she showed us which mattress is recommended for it. So Lilly said ok we'll take the cot and the mattress and i was blown away!! I had only asked them if they would like to contribute to the cot not pay for the whole thing AND a mattress! Then i said to the girl that i would pay $20 off my car seat that i had on layby and Lilly said 'No she wont. We'll pay it off and take it now.' and i was blown away again!! $1300 cot + $180 mattress + $100 for the carseat. I couldn't thank her enough, i must have looked like an idiot. I would have kissed her feet if she'd asked haha. I said that they didnt ever have to buy me anything ever again because it was prety expensive and she said that was nonsense and that theres more to come! I can't beleive they are being so wonderful and generous. Especially at christmas time when no one has a lot of money. It did go on the credit though haha. Now she wants me to write a list of all the things i still need. The cot is being delivered next tuesday which just happens to be my birthday!! So excited!

Thats fantastic! Good on her. Its lovely getting surprises like that. All the best to you and and lil' junior .... not long to go now!! Wow can't believe you're 33 weeks already. We're spending Christmas with my hub's family in Mandurah. Hoping to have Chrissie morning on the beach :-)) xxx

Congratulations. If you're anything like me you feel so much better knowing a couple of things are taken care of too. We recently bought our carseat/stroller and our crib and I honestly feel so much better knowing if he comes early he'll at least have some place to sleep.
