27-12-2008 - Traveling

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well,... my family and I are leaving from TN within the hour and driving to California to spend 2 weeks with my mother-in-law. Sounds like fun... 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 cats in a minivan for... a long time. :-) On the bright side, my children have never seen snow, and we should be traveling through a lot of it. 3 of the 4 children are already asleep, so all I have to do is pack them in the van after I get everything else packed. The last few weeks have been a little interesting. My husband was supposed to be paid a large sum of money for the work that he's been doing, but... hasn't yet. So our landlord told us that we couldn't come back until we paid him, which shouldn't be that big of a deal since we'll have money by Jan 5th. The neighbors are babysitting the dogs, and the landlord even offered to paint the house while we're gone. So we ended up staying in a hotel room for 2 1/2 weeks, and then with my parents for Christmas. Now we're driving across the country to California, and the kids will see snow for the first time, and go to the beach for the first time. It doesn't sound too painful... :-) My husband and I really do want more children, regardless of what the current financial situation may be. If our little stay in a hotel this month produces another one, it'll be a September 2009 baby, and I know for certain that things will be a lot better by then. We have 3 boys and 1 girl, and I know that my husband is hoping for twin girls to even us out. (Good luck to him.) :-) This may be too much information, but I think I ovulated on Christmas Day (cd 17), even though fertility friend says it was 2 days before then. So I think a test on Jan 6th may just be in order. :-)

I know this blog is really long, but I haven't had anyone to talk to lately, and being on the road for the next several days I won't have anyone to talk to then either. Good luck to everyone ttc... (Blesseddaily, congratulations to you!!! ) And for those of you already pregnant,... I appreciate everyone on this site that has been so supportive for more than a year now.

Enjoy the traveling! We haven't traveled all together since Oct. 2007...and it's just going to get harder to travel over the next few years. Take lots of pictures. And check in when you can!

Wow! Your plate is really full with alll of that travel. I was nervous just taking Michael on the three hour trip to NJ for a couple of days! It is a great experience for your kids to travel. I still have vivid memories of a trip my family took driving to FL when I was 5. I will say a prayer that your husband's paycheck comes through sooner rather than later too. Enjoy your trip!!
